(Photo Credits to Larry Levanti/Main Events) By Scott Gilfoid: Former British/Commonwealth heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora is pulling for unbeaten Irish heavyweight Tyson Fury (20-0, 14 KO’s) to beat American Steve Cunningham (25-5, 12 KO’s) this Saturday in Fury’s pro debut at the Madison Square Garden Theater, in New York, New York, USA.
Chisora’s reasoning’s for backing Fury are pretty simple and straight forward. Chisora is backing Fury because he sees him as a Brit, although Fury seems to be relating more to his Irish blood as of late.
Fury said to Irish-boxing.com “All my people are from Ireland. I was born in Manchester but I am Irish…when I fight I represent Ireland.”
