Commonwealth super-middleweight champion George Groves is having difficulties setting up a bout with current British title holder James DeGale. One man links Haye and Groves, and that man is their trainer/manager Adam Booth. Booth trains just the two fighters full time, and also promotes them two under the Hayemaker Promotions banner.

Chisora’s fortunes have turned around with Klitschko fight

By Sean McDaniel: Unbeaten British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) was crushed after learning that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) pulled out of their scheduled December 11th bout last year after suffering an abdominal injury. It was thought then that the 26-year-old Chisora would never get another shot against Wladimir.

By Jason Kim: Unbeaten Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) has been given a second chance at fighting IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) after Wladimir decided to fight a tune-up against him before a hoped for July 2nd bout against WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. The Haye bout is now off the table for Wladimir, as the Chisora news seems to have rubbed Haye the wrong way. It’s good for Chisora, though, because he assumed he was going to be passed by and now he’s getting a second chance to pull off an upset against the tall 6’6″ Klitschko.

Warren blasts Haye and Booth for missed Klitschko fight

By William Mackay: Promoter Frank Warren lit into WBA heavyweight champion David Haye and his manager/trainer Adam Booth for having fumbled away a huge money fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. With a fight against Wladimir in their grasp, Booth and Haye basically gave it away by walking out when Wladimir decided to take a tune-up bout against unbeaten Dereck Chisora for April 30th.

Chisora says he could take Wladimir out in the 1st round

By Dave Lahr: British heavyweight champion Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) wants boxing fans to arrive early for his April 30th fight against IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) in their bout at the SAP-Arena, in Mannheim, Germany. Chisora believes there’s going to be an early knockout and he sees Wladimir as the one who’s going to be counting stars on his back. Chisora, 26, is looking to take Wladimir’s titles back to the UK with a shocking knockout of the Ukrainian heavyweight, who has become accostumed to winning without getting hit all that much. Chisora plans on making him feel pain by landing a lot of power shots on Klitschko’s weak chin.

Warren sees a Chisora win over Klitschko as one of the biggest upsets in boxing history

Wladimir says Haye can sidestep Chagaev and still fight him on July 2nd

By William Mackay: While WBA heavyweight champion David Haye seems to be incredibly worried about having to make a defense of his World Boxing Association title against former WBA champion Ruslan Chagaev, IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko sees no problems for Haye paying Chagaev a step aside fee so that Haye can fight him on July 2nd. Haye isn’t happy that Wladimir has decided to fight Dereck Chisora on April 30th for a couple of reasons.

Wladimir says “I can’t count on this loser” [Haye]

By Dan Ambrose: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) didn’t trust WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) enough to go straight into their July 2nd bout without a tune-up, he says. Wladimir, 34, was worried that Haye would once again pull out of their fight at the last minute and leave Wladimir without a fight again, just as Haye had done to Wladimir in 2009, when Haye pulled out of his fight with him with only two weeks to go before their June 20th scheduled fight date.
