Fury to get Vitali fight if he beats Boytsov

Image: Fury to get Vitali fight if he beats BoytsovBy Scott Gilfoid: In a real scary scenario, unbeaten and unproven British heavyweight Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) is in a position to get a fight against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko if Fury beats Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25 KO’s) next month in their World Boxing Council heavyweight title eliminator bout on December 1st at the Odyssey Arena, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

What’s scary about this is how over-matched Fury would be if he were to be thrown in the ring with Vitali. I don’t care that Vitali is 41 now and fighting at roughly 80 percent of what he once was, he’ll still destroy Fury no problem if that fight happens next year. God, it would be one of those fights where boxing fans end up shaking your head afterwards wondering why on earth the fight was ever put together in the first place.

Fury-Boytsov to be WBC heavyweight title eliminator

Image: Fury-Boytsov to be WBC heavyweight title eliminatorBy Scott Gilfoid: The December 1st clash between unbeaten Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) and Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25 KO’s) will reportedly be a World Boxing Council heavyweight title eliminator with the winner of the fight becoming the mandatory challenger for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko.

It sounds good, right? It might not be if Fury wins because I kind of doubt that he’ll agree to fight Vitali next year. It would be too much of a mismatch due to Fury’s lack of power, experience, talent and boxing skills. He’s too rough and needs A LOT of work on his nonexistent power before facing someone as good as Vitali.

Fury gallops ahead of Price in the matchmaking table

Image: Fury gallops ahead of Price in the matchmaking tableBy Jack Tarpey: We have now been told that Tyson Fury’s next fight is none other than the tough, durable and undefeated fighter Denis Boystov. Now give credit where credit is due and that is a huge gamble for Fury, especially as Boystov is really only well known to the hardcore boxing fans. So a win probably won’t elevate Tyson too much in the celebrity league. However, the respect he will gain from the true boxing fans will be second to none.

This is certainly on paper Tyson’s biggest test so far in his career and it is certainly refreshing to see him being let of the leash to challenge the big names in the heavyweight division. Tyson looks in the best shape of his career so far judging by the pictures on twitter and has been promising fireworks come fight night, as Price’s 1st round demolition job on the biggest joke in heavyweight boxing seemed to really touch a nerve for Tyson.

Boytsov will destroy Tyson Fury

Image: Boytsov will destroy Tyson FuryBy Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) and Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25 KO’s) are on crash course to meet on December 1st at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. To show you how serious that Fury is about this fight, Fury said on his twitter that he’s turning it off until after December 1st.

I think I smell fear coming from Fury. Boytsov will ruin Fury’s big title hopes and dreams of getting a shot against one of the Klitschkos or snatching the WBC title after Vitali Klitschko retires.

Tyson Fury, A Perspective

Image: Tyson Fury, A PerspectiveBy Alex Hedges: Tyson Fury is an interesting case, the opinion of those working within boxing varies vastly from that of the fans on internet websites.

Tyson has achieved very respectable rankings, was praised by the late Emmanuel Steward, and has had trouble securing a recent fight with former champion Ruslan Chagaev, who admitted that he would need further preparation to take a fight like that. Interestingly Ruslan had no such hang ups in arranging a fight with Mike Perez, a fighter with lower rankings than Fury, but a lot more respect by those in the internet community. One has to wonder, is this former world champion, the sanctioning bodies, Emmanuel Steward and others who make their living in the business all wrong? Or maybe, just maybe people on line with no real stake in boxing are letting their hearts rule their head?

Tyson Fury vs. David Price poll

Image: Tyson Fury vs. David Price pollBy Mark Havey: It seems everyone in Britain wants to see the two mountains collide. David Price, calm and confident. Hits tremendously hard and knocks out very good boxers. Tyson Fury, the traveler has captured the imagination of the public with his trash talking. His fans are amongst the rowdiest in the country.

Fury has promised to knock his bitter rival out should they ever fight. Price wants the fight but says it will never happen , as Fury will never agree. Twitter has been going crazy with these to exchanging verbal blows at each other. Fury has generally made himself look like a thug and acted very childlike. Price on the other hand has repeatedly presented himself as the model professional sportsman and has been a credit to boxing.

Fury lacks discipline to become great fighter

Image: Fury lacks discipline to become great fighterBy John F. McKenna (McJack): Up and coming undefeated heavyweight prospect Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) is a long way from being able to challenge the dominance of the Klitschko’s for supremacy in the heavyweight division. You might call him a work in progress, realizing that at 24 he still has a lot of maturing to do as a fighter. Tyson at least realizes that he is not yet ready to challenge the Klitschko’s.

At 6’9 and approximately 250 pounds Fury does have his massive size going for him. He also has a flair for building up excitement for his fights which has been borne out by the high ratings his fights draw on TV. Tyson has also been controversial at times. His recent rant against British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (14-0, 12 KO’s) after Price KO’d Audley Harrison was more than likely an attempt to steel some of David’s thunder after his impressive showing.

Tyson Fury denies making twitter comment about gays; Mundine vows to beat Geale

Image: Tyson Fury denies making twitter comment about gays; Mundine vows to beat GealeBy Allan Fox: Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) is once again taking heat for some things that showed up on his twitter page. This one in particular was reportedly reference to him supposedly wanting gays to be shot dead, according to the Guardian.co.uk. Fury is denying that he made that comment.

Fury said to the Guardian.co.uk “I give my phone to my cousins at the [training] camp…they were laughing about calling some people some names..When I found out what they had done I was furious. I said: ‘Listen, it’s not a funny subject this.’…I’ve got friends of my own who are gay.”

Haye not interested in fighting Fury, only Vitali Klitschko

Image: Haye not interested in fighting Fury, only Vitali KlitschkoBy William Mackay: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) doesn’t want to fight unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s), even though it would mean a lot of money for Haye if he were to do so. Haye mentioned a couple of reasons why he’s not interested in fighting Fury and David Price, saying to IFilm London “They’re too big and too young. I’m just a cruiserweight.”

Haye continued on about Fury “As for me fighting him [Fury]? No, I’m only getting back in the ring for Klitschko, No one else.”
