Image: Boytsov will destroy Tyson FuryBy Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) and Denis Boytsov (31-0, 25 KO’s) are on crash course to meet on December 1st at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. To show you how serious that Fury is about this fight, Fury said on his twitter that he’s turning it off until after December 1st.

I think I smell fear coming from Fury. Boytsov will ruin Fury’s big title hopes and dreams of getting a shot against one of the Klitschkos or snatching the WBC title after Vitali Klitschko retires.

Unless Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy steers Fury to safer waters against the typical weaker opposition he’s been facing his entire four-year pro career, we’re going to see Fury take a beating from the 26-year-old Russian born Boytsov in this fight.

Boytsov is the much better skilled fighter and the vastly superior fighter in terms of power. The only thing Fury has going for him is size. He’s just a big 6’9″ fighter but without the power or the jab to take advantage of his size. Fury has been able to win his fights thus far mostly due to the poor opposition he’s been fed up until now. The typical Fury are domestic/journeyman level opposition, as he’s been slow in moving up against quality fighters.

Hennessy is making a big mistake by throwing him in with a fighter like Boytsov because Fury stands no chance against this guy. It’s like someone who just learned to swim a little in the wadding pool being thrown in the Atlantic ocean during a storm. Fury is going to be out of his league against Boytsov and we’re going to see him take a beating.

Boytsov, a mean puncher, has looked incredible in beating guys like Darnell Wilson, Domnich Guinn and Jason Gavern. What I like about Boytsov is that he has excellent power but he throws sustained combinations like a younger Evander Holyfield. That’s who he reminds me. When Boytsov goes on the attack, he drives his opponents from one side of the ring to the other with beautiful combinations. Fury won’t be able to deal with that.

I can just see Fury turning his head to take shots on the side of his head each time that Boytsov lands one of his big head shots. I think this fight will end really early with Boytsov blasting Fury out in one or two rounds at best.
