Fury gallops ahead of Price in the matchmaking table

Image: Fury gallops ahead of Price in the matchmaking tableBy Jack Tarpey: We have now been told that Tyson Fury’s next fight is none other than the tough, durable and undefeated fighter Denis Boystov. Now give credit where credit is due and that is a huge gamble for Fury, especially as Boystov is really only well known to the hardcore boxing fans. So a win probably won’t elevate Tyson too much in the celebrity league. However, the respect he will gain from the true boxing fans will be second to none.

This is certainly on paper Tyson’s biggest test so far in his career and it is certainly refreshing to see him being let of the leash to challenge the big names in the heavyweight division. Tyson looks in the best shape of his career so far judging by the pictures on twitter and has been promising fireworks come fight night, as Price’s 1st round demolition job on the biggest joke in heavyweight boxing seemed to really touch a nerve for Tyson.

At the time straight after the fight the boxing public seemed to elevate Price as a league above Tyson. Don’t get me wrong; I like Price. He looks very professional and appears to have huge power, but if I have a choice of going to Price vs. Skelton or Tyson vs. Boystov fight, there is only one winner. Plus you guys have to admit watching a Fury fight is entertaining as hell.

Price is a clever man though, so it will be interesting to see who he targets after the Matt Skelton farce. I personally hope it will be Mike Perez should he be able to come through his tough encounter with Ruslan Chagaev, but if Frank Maloney carry’s on the way he is don’t be surprised to see Price up against Butterbean after Skelton.

Look forward to your comments fellow boxing heads
