By Simon Hirst: Photo credit: Tom Casino/Showtime – This weekend sees Britain’s Carl Froch take on the tough, durable veteran Glenn Johnson for a place in the Super Six Final against the undefeated Andre Ward. Both have had different paths entering this contest with Johnson coming off some losses to Dawson and Cloud before knocking out Green when placed in the tournament after pull outs. Froch on the other hand is coming off a long streak of tough fights against Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, Kessler and Abraham in which he has compiled a 4-1 record.

Look for Johnson to punch a hole through Froch’s false facade of confidence
By Scott Gilfoid: Photo credit: Tom Casino/Showtime – If you notice one thing about WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch, he’s often bringing up his loss to Mikkel Kessler to say that he should have been the one who won the fight. At Wednesday’s press conference, Froch went one step farther about the defeat, saying with tinge of bitterness “80 percent of the people don’t acknowledge it was a loss.”
Froch: Johnson isn’t going to win one round
By Scott Gilfoid: Photo credit: Tom Casino/Showtime – WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) sounded like he was a little off his gourd at Wednesday’s press conference when talking about Saturday’s fight against 42-year-old Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s), who is primed to beat Froch and take away his WBC title in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Froch has never met a puncher like Johnson before and seems to think this fight is going to be an easy won. Froch said “He’s not going to win the fight. He’s not going to win a round. I’m too young and fresh. From round on to twelve, I will dominate.”
Froch: Johnson’s fighting style is made for me
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) has previously said that he’s not going to just stand in front of his opponent Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) when they fight it out in the semifinals of the Super Six tournament on Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Tarver sees Froch beating Johnson, but not Ward
Froch doubts Johnson can walk through his punches
By Scott Gilfoid: Former IBF light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) has made a career of walking down opponents, walking through their shots in order to get close enough to hammer them with his powerful looping shots to the head and powerful body punches. Johnson seems to never stop coming forward to land his hard punches, and the only fighters that have been able to beat him are ones with superb boxing skills like Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins and Antonio Tarver, to name a few. On June 4th, Johnson faces a slower fighter in WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Froch doesn’t plan on standing in front of Johnson on June 4th
By Scott Gilfoid: It’s hard to believe it but WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) says he’s going to box 42-year-old slugger Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) rather than slugging with him on June 4th in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. If anyone has ever taken the time to see Froch’s fights, they’ll immediately notice that Froch isn’t particularly light on his feet nor is he fast of hand.
Carl Froch will be the first to knock Glen Johnson out cold on June 4th
By Mike Gamm: In the Super-Six semi-finals on June 4th, Carl the (Cobra) Froch (27- 1- 20KO’s) is scheduled to fight the 42 year old veteran Glen Johnson (51- 14- 2- 35KO’s). Froch will be defending his (World Boxing Council) Super middleweight title in the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.
Froch wishes he were fighting Kessler instead of Johnson
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) can’t seem to get his loss to Mikkel Kessler out of his head, because it seems like he can’t let go of his 12 round loss to Kessler from a year ago. Froch has even had a hard acknowledging that he lost the fight even though almost the entire civilized world sees Froch as having lost that fight. Froch now has a fight coming up next month against warhorse Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) in the semifinals of the Super Six tournament.
Froch: 42-year-old Johnson in the last chance saloon
By Scott Gilfoid: It appears that WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) sees 42-year-old Glen Johnson’s age as a weakness for him going into their June 4th Super Six fight at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This is going to be a big surprise then when Froch finds himself taking punishment against a fighter that is nothing like a typical 42-year-old.
