By Mark Young: Apparently there was a fight on this weekend, not that you would have noticed by the post fight write ups! I managed to miss seeing the Carl Froch vs. Glen Johnson fight live and ended up bobbing around the Pacific on a fishing boat with a mobile phone glued to my ear while a friend gave me live commentary. After gutting and hauling home my catch I jumped on line to see other peoples takes on the fight and virtually nothing!

By William Mackay: Photo: Tom Casino/Showtime: WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) will be working tonight’s Super Six tournament fight between WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch and Glen Johnson as part of Showtime’s television crew. Ward is hoping that the 33-year-old Froch can somehow beat the 42-year-old Johnson so that Ward can face Froch in the finals of the Super Six tournament and shut him up once and for all. Ward realizes that a fight against Froch would be the bigger fight compared to an all American clash against the U.S based Johnson.

British fans may not want to tune in tonight because I see Froch losing to the 42-year-old Johnson and losing badly.
Haye: Froch can beat Johnson by a wide decision if he’s focused
By Dan Ambrose: WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, a good friend of WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s), believes that Froch can win an easy 12 round decision over Glen Johnson on Saturday night in their Super Six tournament fight. Haye thinks Froch needs to be dialed in the same way he was when he beat Arthur Abraham by a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision in his last fight last November.

Froch says he wants to inflict pain and he’s going to take pleasure in inflicting it. It seems that Froch is forgetting that Johnson is going to be attacking with his own shots, and we’ve seen in the past that Froch backs off when he’s under attack.
