I hate to be the one to rain on Groves’ parade but the guy just doesn’t have the ability to beat a guy like DeGale. Heck, I rate Paul Smith a level above Groves.

However, it may not have much meaning if the Groves-DeGale fight can’t be negotiated and right now there’s serious doubts that this fight can or will be made.

First of all, it’s not a fight that will mean anything because Groves has already been exposed as being fatally flawed in his last fight against Kenny Anderson. And more importantly, Groves isn’t world class. He’s not ranked in the top tier, so it’s a wasted fight for DeGale.
