1-MAYPAC WEIGH IN-TRAPPFOTOS-4805By Chris Williams: Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe says that Floyd Mayweather Jr. is fully prepared for tonight’s fight against Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather is ready to go out there in front of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and give Pacquiao a thrashing in kicking his behind all over the ring.

From there, Mayweather will go and collect his check for fight, and go celebrate back at his fabulous mansion in the exclusive part of Las Vegas with a select group of his friends.

The check that Mayweather will get for tonight’s fight against Pacquiao will be substantial. Mayweather could make as much as $180 million from the fight. How much is left over after taxes and other expenses are taken out is unclear. But it’s still going to be a kingly sum of good clean cash that he’ll be getting for the fight.

“[He’ll] go in the ring and kick some behind, collect a check and go back to the house and have a party,” Ellerbe said via Associated Press at the Dailymail.co.uk.

It’s going to be a huge victory if Mayweather comes out the victor tonight because there’s so much fan interest in the fight. There are a lot of doubters out there who are betting against Mayweather, and he wants to prove them all wrong by schooling Pacquiao and knocking him out in front of the entire world if possible. As of now, Mayweather is still a 2:1 favorite to beat Pacquiao with the bettors.

There is a ton of betting on tonight’s fight. It hasn’t slowed down and a lot of last minute money is being wagered on Pacquiao for some reason. Perhaps some of the bettors have noted how cocky Pacquiao looked at yesterday’s weigh-in, and might feel that this outward confidence is a sign that he’ll beat Mayweather. It’s superficial, yes, but I wouldn’t doubt that’s why a lot of boxing fans are betting on Pacquiao to win tonight.

Mayweather looked reserved during the weigh-in and the final press conference. He said very little and looked like he didn’t want to get involved in any trash talking or attempts at gamesmanship. Mayweather seems to prefer taking the high road instead of getting in the gutter and playing games.

“I want to be real relaxed and real calm. I just try to have tunnel vision when I am on my way to the gym,” Mayweather said via Skysports.com.

That might explain why Mayweather has chosen not to try and intimidate Pacquiao and his team. He wants to be relaxed and just go out beat him without trying to scare him ahead of time.
