Devin Haney went after Floyd Mayweather Jr. today, calling him a “bonafide hater” in response to Ryan Garcia leaking sparring video of him getting battered by Gervonta Davis at Floyd’s gym.

WBC light welterweight champion Haney (31-0, 15 KOs) accuses Mayweather of trying to stop his fight with Ryan by sabotaging it.

Sparring Video Controversy

Haney believes Mayweather was the one that leaked the video of his spar with Gervonta Davis, giving it to Ryan to do the dirty work of posting it to make Devin look bad ahead of his fight with Kingry on April 20th on DAZN PPV at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The brutal sparring video makes Haney look bad, as he was getting pummeled nonstop for almost two minutes by the Gervonta, taking punishment and being saved by Adrien Broner at one point when he was on close to being stopped.

For fans on social media, they’re not surprised that the video was released, as Devin’s dad, Bill Haney, had been bragging recently about how Dev had sent Mayweather into retirement after dominating him in sparring before his fight against Conor McGregor in 2017.

The way that Bill was throwing shade at Mayweather, it was predictable that something would come back from Floyd. Although he didn’t speak on it or take ownership of the sparring video in Ryan Garcia’s hands, Haney is putting two and two together, deducing that Floyd did the dirty deed.

“Floyd been hating a long time.. this ain’t just start. I held my tongue for years because I respect the greats of the sport. But dude is a bonifide hater don’t want see nobody win if he not apart of it! I know he sent Ryan the sparring… I know he gave Ryan those “pimp” comments to say,” said Haney on X, trashing Mayweather Jr. for giving his Tank Davis sparring video to Ryan Garcia, who then posted it on YouTube and social media.

Accusations of Meddling

“Miserable old man tried to stop the fight.. I’m happy he revealed himself to the world,” said Haney.

Devin sounds sensitive about the video being released, doesn’t he? It’s got him all worked up, but it’s too late now. The horse is out of the barn, and fans have seen what Tank Davis did to Haney, and they’re going to remember it. You have to admit, Tank created a great blueprint for Ryan.
