Manny Pacquiao demolishing fighters that Floyd ducked

By Juan dela Cruz: Pacquiao haters see only those fights where Manny fought a couple of fighters that were previously been defeated by Floyd, thus making them say Manny is fighting Floyd’s leftovers. But they never see three boxers whom Floyd is scared of and were demolished by Pac, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito.

They may say Pac is fighting Floyd’s leftovers, but actually, Manny is just showing Floyd how to do it in the ring, by defeating them in a fashionable (read: brutal) way. First it was Oscar dela Hoya who, as many have seen it, could have won that fight against Floyd. But when he faced Manny, he could do nothing but quit while in stool and went on retirement. Then came Hatton whom Floyd knocked in 10th round, but not after having been in some problems before finally he was able to subdue Ricky. When it was Manny’s turn, he showed Floyd how to do it the easy and brutal way, sending Hatton to canvass twice in the first, and finally, in the second round. On May 7, 2011, Pacman will be facing Mosley, another fighter that has been defeated by Floyd. Everybody who watched that fight had seen how Mayweather got rocked by Mosley in the second round. Had he not be able to cling on to Shane’s arm and not let it loose, it could have been the end of Floyd’s “0” record. But come fight night, Pacquiao will again show Floyd how to do it the brutal way.

Pacman haters also didn’t seem to notice that Juan Manuel Marquez was Manny’s leftover. In those two fights, this pee-drinking pug kissed the canvass 4 times, and take note, Marquez was in his prime then. But when he fought Floyd, JMM climbed 2 weight classes above his normal weight class, making him bloated and was even cheated by Floyd coming in 2 pounds heavier and was never able to move an inch, and yet, Floyd can’t even hurt him.

And to show the world that he is better than Floyd, Manny fought and demolished those whom Floyd were afraid of, Clottey, Cotto, and Margarito. Clottey was made a human punching bag and can hardly throw a punch against Manny knowing, as according to him, he gets hit whenever he threw a punch. Cotto was KO’d in the 11th round, while Margarito suffered the beating he never had before, rearranged bloodied face and cracked orbital bone.

Manny had been fighting and defeating larger opponents despite his small frame compared to them. Pacman haters say Manny is fighting old, shot and washed up fighter. Last time I checked Clottey was only 34 when he faced Pac, Cotto is only 30 years old now, and Margarito was 32. Mosley is already 39 but when Floyd fought him, nobody complain about Mayweather fighting a senior citizen. And before Mosley, Floyd fought Marquez, way smaller than him. To all Pacman haters, whoever Manny fights he will not get the credit. There will always be excuses, complain, and everything to discredit Pac’s accomplishment. But whatever they say, Pac is already on top of the boxing world, part of history, and now considered one of the greatest.
