Warren should know better than anyone, since he’s the one that has promoted Khan for most of his pro career up until recently when Khan moved over to Golden Boy Promotions. In an article at Thesun.co.uk, Warren said “Khan is making a name at light welterweight, but it is a good division and he has not proved he is number #1 yet. To fight Mayweather he might have to go to light middleweight, which would put him at a severe disadvantage.”

By William Mackay: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (23-1, 17 KO’s) wants to get a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and his promoter Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions wants to see Khan face Mayweather as well. In an article at the Times, Khan says “I would love to fight Mayweather and I believe I can end his unbeaten record.” I wonder what gave Khan the impression that he has the ability to beat Mayweather?
