Roach thinks Pacquiao will knock Margarito out inside 8 rounds

Image: Roach thinks Pacquiao will knock Margarito out inside 8 roundsBy Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach thinks his fighter Manny Pacquiao will knock Antonio Margarito out inside eight rounds on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. With Pacquiao having zero experience at junior middleweight and with Margarito having fought at that weight only once in the past six years, Pacquiao and Margarito will be fighting for the vacant WBC junior middleweight title in this fight. That’s pretty funny if you ask me. I guess the title is needed to help validate the fight, because I can’t see any reason for this match-up at all. Roach, naturally, thinks Pacquiao is going to win by knockout, saying in an article at Philstar.com “I’d be disappointed if we [Pacquiao] don’t knock him out inside eight rounds.”

Is the window on the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight closing?

Image: Is the window on the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight closing?By Marquise Bullock: The window seems like it may be closing on one of the biggest mega fights within the last 10 years. The “powers that be” seems like they don’t want this fight to happen. Right now there is no one to blame anymore. Floyd went on vacation and got into loads of trouble, and Pacquiao may have wrote a check he can’t cash in fighting Mexico’s own Antonio Margarito. Every year it seems like when the fight doesn’t get made, fans just debate over who would win and say well next month, next year we’ll see. But has it ever occured to anyone the window may be closing and might shut for good.

Is Pacquiao’s win over Hatton tainted because of Ricky’s recent drug problems?

Image: Is Pacquiao’s win over Hatton tainted because of Ricky’s recent drug problems?By Chris Williams: I don’t know about you but I’m now looking at Manny Pacquiao’s win over Ricky Hatton as somehow tainted after seeing Hatton snorting line after line of what appeared to be cocaine in the New of the World sting this week. The way that Hatton expertly snorted up those lines and with all the alcohol he put away that night, I can’t really give Pacquiao full credit for the win.

Pacquiao-Margarito Analysis

Image: Pacquiao-Margarito AnalysisBy Robert Elmore: On November 13th, Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will duke it out for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight title. Many in the boxing public think this is a cake walk for Pacquiao while others say Margarito’s height, reach and size will be the difference. I have carefully watched fights to help me draw my analysis.

Pacquiao can win this fight if:

He gets inside land quickly and gets back out with taking severe punishment. Once inside, he Must land body shots. This will weaken Margarito and eventually bring his hands down enabling Pac to land punches upstairs. He also must be selective with his punches. He can not afford to just wing punches everywhere. He must make them count. Against Oscar De la Hoya, Pacquiao was very smart in picking his shots. He threw only 333 punches and landed 159; landing 59% overall.

Mayweather has little choice but to try and fight Pacquiao next

Image: Mayweather has little choice but to try and fight Pacquiao nextBy Jason Kim: With all the troubles that have been storming through Floyd Mayweather’s life in the past three weeks, the only way that he can get boxing fans to forget about all of this is to sign up and fight Manny Pacquiao as soon as humanly possible, preferably in early 2011. Hopefully, Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum are still open to the fight because I can see them ignoring Mayweather after his racist video he put out recently. Mayweather may have to literally crawl for a shot against Pacquiao if he wants to fight him now.

Garcia thinks Margarito has too much power and heart for Pacquiao

Image: Garcia thinks Margarito has too much power and heart for PacquiaoBy Chris Williams: While a lot of boxing fans believe that Manny Pacquiao has selected a fighter that he can beat in 32-year-old previously down on his luck Antonio Margarito, his trainer Robert Garcia believes that Margarito will beat Pacquiao on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. In an article by Chris Robinson at Examiner.com, Garcia says “I’ve been watching him [Pacquiao] over and over and Erik Morales beat him, Marquez almost beat him/ I could have gone the other way. He is beatable. I think we are going to come up with a great game plan and Margarito has the strength, the power, the heart to beat him. I have no doubt that we are going to pull it out.”

Pavlik vs. Edouard on Pacquiao-Margarito undercard on 11/13?

Image: Pavlik vs. Edouard on Pacquiao-Margarito undercard on 11/13?By Chris Williams: In a nice little mismatch, former WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32 KO’s) could be facing Daniel Edouard (23-3-2, 14 KO’s) on the undercard of the Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito bout on November 13th at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. If you were looking for a reason to shell out $55 to see the Pacquiao-Margarito fight, this probably isn’t a good reason to want to purchase the fight because a fight between Pavlik and Edouard is a big mismatch. Since this card is hugely expensive, they’d have to pay me to watch this fight because I’m not interested in watching two mismatches on the card.
