pac45By Idris Morrey: The much anticipated ring fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr and the Philippine’s finest Manny Pacquiao could soon be taking place.

Social networks are now playing host to increasing verbal and graphical illustrations either in praise or purely demeaning either of these phenomenal fighters. It was all quiet until recently When Manny Pacquiao was matched with little known Chris Algieri and somehow Mayweather’s name became their selling point.

Tweets from Manny Pacquiao have gone unanswered by the Money team until today on Facebook when Mayweather released the killer bomb with the caption was really good “My new boxing DVD is coming soon and is called “3 Ways to Sleep”. Back, Face and Butt and I’m Falling & I Can’t Get Up. Miss PacMan is broke and desperate for a pay day. Your Pay-Per-View numbers are a joke” he wrote.

This turn of events by Floyd to ridicule Pacquiao with knockout photos he suffered when he was put to sleep by the Mexican legendary boxer Juan Manuel Marquez only signifies the beginning of a campaign to draw fans and the Media towards them. Mayweather too is trying to portray Pacquiao as a minor attraction fighter which later will translate to a lower purse money.

Both of them are beginning to realize that they have reached the tail end of their career. The once cool Pacman started this social media attack which is unlike him. Floyd has not been responding for a while but this recent gesture only points to a bout definitely happening next year.

According to a money team insider, all signs seem to lead to a May 2015 meet. The member said that its “Coded vibe from inside source”. This maybe true because both fighters are due to retire same year.

But what boxing fans are waiting for is a date and other indications that plans and agreements are on course to make the fight happen soon. In the meantime as the social media war rages on, fans are rallying behind their preferred strong fighter to win this preliminary out of the ring spit.
