Angel said to RingTV “What Danny has to do is go in there and get the legend. He needs to stop Morales. It’s not going to be satisfying to go out and win a 12 round decision. He needs to go out there and put a stop to Morales.”

I second that notion. It’s not enough for Garcia to win another 12 round decision over Morales like he did last year when he beat him easily by a lopsided 12 round decision. Garcia has to really punish Morales and stop him if he wants to escape with a win that’s not controversial.

Morales is an extremely popular fighter and that means is if he puts in a decent performance he could end up winning a lot of rounds, enough to where he’s given the decision at the end of the fight unless Garcia is able to knock him down once or twice to get the victory.

Morales didn’t have the speed and power the last time they fought. Garcia was the faster, stronger and the much younger guy in that fight. The only thing that Morales had going for him was his excellent jab, which Morales used to break Garcia’s nose. However, that still wasn’t enough for Morales to win the fight, because he was getting out-worked and out-boxed by Garcia through most of the fight.

Morales has to win this fight, because there’s talk that he may retire if he’s not given the decision. I’d hate to see Morales retire because he’s been such a great fighter all these years, but I don’t think he can pull the trigger on his shots like he once could.
