By Jason Kim: IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is expected to have a cakewalk against 39-year-old Jean Marc Mormeck on March 3rd in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Mormeck has looked rusty in his three fights at the heavyweight level and is going to be a lot smaller than the 35-year-old Wladimir when he steps foot in the ring on the 3rd of March, possibly by as much as 30 pounds in weight.

That’s a significant amount of weight, because it’s not useless weight like the kind that heavyweights carry around but can use. The 245 pound Wladimir uses every ounce of that weight to punch with huge power with both hands, and his seven inch height advantage over the 5’11” Mormeck will be a big factor as well in this fight that he’ll be able to use to try and dominate the action from the outside.

However, Mormeck is fast and has a lower center of gravity. He comes in a lot lower than many of Wladimir’s previous opponents and once he’s inside, Mormeck is dangerous because he’s fast, powerful and an excellent inside fighter. He’s not someone that Wladimir will be able to tie up on a consistent basis without taking some big hits to the head and body.

Wladimir isn’t going to beat Mormeck on the cheap simply by going out there and bombarding him from afar without ever tasting hard shots in return. Wladimir is going to have to experience some pain in this fight and possibly even some of his own blood in the form of cuts his eyes. Moremeck will be fighting his heart out in this fight because he knows if he can somehow knock Wladimir out, then he’d be assured of at least one big payday rematch, possibly two.

Wladimir is going to need to try and score a quick stoppage from long distance because if Mormeck is able to get inside on him, he won’t be having a good time and won’t be able to shed this guy. Wladimir has no inside fighting skills and will take a lot of punishment from Mormeck if he’s able to find a place in close to fight Wladimir.
