Boxing fans better be ready to watch a real title match and they better appreciate the quality of both champions. No need to say that the bout is scheduled on the light middleweight division without catchweight.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather, current WBC welterweight champion has his own way to comunicate but also has his own way to deal with opponents inside the ring. Floyd can be criticized due his flamboyant and arrogant attitude but no one can point a finger on him accusing him for not engaging against top opposition in his last couple of fights, and I would not be surprised if he moves up to middleweight to challenge Sergio Maravilla Martinez.

In his last couple of fights the current WBA Super World light middleweight champion Miguel Angel Cotto had not faced top opposition, but against Floyd he will amend himself. The three division champion Miguel Angel will do his best against the five division champion Mayweather and for sure will be at his best at fight night, and no one should miss the opportunity to watch these two future Hall of Famers engage.

But, what about other organization champions? The eight belt wonder will engage once more time against a hand picked opponent, now he will face a light welterweigt instead of defending his awarded belt against the number one ranked or at least defend it against a legit welterweight contender. Mexican light middleweight ginger will face an old past prime welterweight. The younger heavyweight brother will face a former cruiserweight belt holder. Ofcourse this is not new, but it has become too annoying.

Is the Mayweather vs. Cotto a genuine title bout? Can the reader argue it is not? Maybe not only the blind will keep on criticizing Floyd but for sure some fans will never recognize that their loved idols are simple illusions created by the greedy promoters.

A friend of mine asked me if this fight will be as good as the Chavez vs. Taylor I, the Duran vs. Hagler, Duran vs Leonard I, or Trinidad vs. De la Hoya, I told him I was not sure but there is only one way to find out. What I am certain of is that this is a genuine title fight, isn’t it?
