Image: Erik Morales' father thinks Pacquiao can kill Mayweather with his punchesBy Chris Williams: For what it’s worth, Jose Morales, the father of boxing great Erik Morales, reportedly thinks that Manny Pacquiao can beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. In an article by Scoop Malinowski at Boxinginsider.com, Jose Morales was really pouring it on with niceties about Pacquiao, saying “He’s very sharp, throws many accurate punches and keeps the pressure on his opponents. That’s why he will win. The punch of Manny Pacquiao can kill him [Mayweather] very easily. It can put him down very easily. So he cannot handle that.”

Oh brother, now I’ve heard it all. Something tells me that Jose is hoping that Pacquiao will choose to fight Erik Morales for a 4th time, because this is getting deep. First of all, Pacquiao can’t kill someone that he’s not fighting.

As long as Pacquiao continues to ask for a 50-50 deal and have limits on the random blood testing that Mayweather wants, there’s not going to be any killing going on. This is actually kind of amusing. If Pacquiao was killing people with his punches, don’t you think he would have already had a bunch corpses for past opponents already?

The last time I checked, he’s 31-years-old and has been fighting for ages. Where’s all the dead bodies from his past fights. Look, if Mayweather and Pacquiao do ever fight, which I highly doubt given Pacquiao’s less than impressive pay per view numbers compared to Mayweathers, then I see Pacquiao getting royally pummeled by Mayweather and made to look like a crude slugger. I don’t even see it close.

If anyone is going to get hurt, it’s probably going to be the poor referee that works the fight because he might be too close to Pacquiao when he’s throwing one of his wild shots and might end up clipping the referee. I suppose Pacquiao could kill Mayweather with his punches if he had Mayweather held down by Freddie Roach while Pacquiao teed off on him for 30 minutes nonstop.

But that’s about the only way I can see a wild puncher like Pacquiao killing Mayweather. It’s like matching a primitive fighter against a Sugar Ray Robinson.
