Image: Roach Predicts Pacquiao Will Call Mayweather's Bluff - NewsBy Ryan Dunn: Toronto Star sports reporter Morgan Campbell recently caught up with Freddie Roach, who is in Canada to train female understudy, Ana Julaton.

Roach had some pretty brazen thoughts on the matter of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao signing on the dotted line. He feels that Pacquiao might put the ball in Mayweather’s court by agreeing to ALL of the demands set forth…

“At this point I feel that Manny is going to agree to everything. That’s our bluff. We’re going to call his bluff. We’ll see… I can’t speak for Manny, I can’t speak for [Bob] Arum, but I feel the fight will happen because Manny is going to call his bluff and say, ‘Let’s do it.'”

Nothing has been officially signed off on, so count this as speculation. And Roach has admitted to having been disconnected from the negotiating table. Arum has confirmed this on more than one occasion as well. But Freddie knows his fighter, has known him for some time now. Trusting his gut instinct is not an exact science, but it is better than fan-gossip pull-quotes from the Enquirer, that’s for sure.

Perhaps Pacquiao’s crash course on being a congressman has instilled a sense of diplomacy. Perhaps being sworn in has served as a hurdle for him to move past in order to plan for the future.

“Manny’s now a congressman,” Roach added. “He’s going to agree with everything Mayweather wants. That’s why I think the fight will happen.”

Freddie the foreseer has spoken. Combine this with Arum’s optimism, Golden Boy’s silence, and we may just have ourselves a fight, folks.
