After amazing performances from classy world champions Carl Froch and David Haye over the last few months, Khan has been made to look lacking. Many people don’t care about Khan in Britain and for some, he is old news. I am sure if he moves to America he will not be missed that much.

Take David Haye, he has had the same amount of professional fights as Khan, so he is on the same level. Haye has just beaten an absolute beast of a man in Valuev and is currently trying the arrange a fight with heavyweight kings, the Klitshcko’s. Amir Khan is fighting Salita (I don’t know his first name), who is not even ranked in the top 20 of his division. Yes, he is the number one contender for the WBA, but he is not a class operator by any means. However, do not be surprised if he sparks Khan from anytime between round one and twelve, even though he is the lightest punching opponent on Earth.

Carl Froch has entered into a tournament where he fights the very best at his weight. Why can’t Khan show some of Froch’s fearless streak? I can understand that the scars from the Prescott defeat (Khan was destroyed in a matter of seconds), but eventually he will have to fight a decent opponent.

Amir can spend as much time at the Wildcard gym as he wants but it won’t put muscles on his chin. When Khan finally faces a top operator like Devon Alexander, Timothy Bradley or Ricky Hatton and he comes up short, as I expect him to, once again, blame his trainer, Freddie Roach. The style Roach has given Khan is nothing special. The way Amir talks about the way Roach has changed his style, you would think Roach is a brain surgeon. All he has taught him to do is run, and run and run, and run a little more. My pet dog could have shown him that and he only has one leg.
