Image: Khan wants to fight Mayweather/Ortiz winner next year in the UKBy William Mackay: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) has a fight coming up next month against IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah on July 23 that might prove to too much for the young Khan. But instead of focusing completely on the Judah fight and hoping somehow he can get out of that fight without getting knocked cold by one of Judah’s hard shots, Khan is already eying the September bout between unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz.

Pacquiao does it better than Mayweather

By John F. McKenna (McJack): When Floyd “Money” Mayweather (41-0, 25 KO’s) fought Oscar De Lahoya he eked out a split decision. When Floyd took on Ricky Hatton he had all kinds of problems for eight rounds before finally figuring him out and knocking him out in the 10th round.

Ortiz: I’ll take Mayweather to war

Image: Ortiz: I'll take Mayweather to warBy Eric Thomas: WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz (29-2-2, 22 KO’s) has already come up with a strategy to try and beat undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. (41-0, 25 Ko’s) in their fight on September 17th at a still to be determined venue. Ortiz, 24, says he’s going to take the fight to Mayweather and try to turn it into a war. This no doubt has been attempted before, albeit with weaker and smaller fighters than Ortiz. Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricky Hatton both attempted to take the fight to Mayweather and were easily beaten.

Mayweather has no proof

Image: Mayweather has no proofBy John F. McKenna (McJack): The boxing ring is not the only place that Floyd Mayweather (41-0, 25 KO’s) is ducking the reigning Pound for Pound superstar Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KO’s). “Money” is ducking the “Pacman” in court as well. Earlier this week Floyd’s attorney asked Federal magistrate Judge Robert Johnson to postpone the deposition that he was slated to give on Friday, June 17.

Image: Khan wants the winner of Mayweather-Ortiz, already looking past Judah fightBy William Mackay: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan reportedly wants to fight the winner of the September 17th fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz. What’s sad about this is Khan appears to be totally looking past his next opponent IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah, who is more than good enough to stop Khan and send him his career in a tail spin.

Mayweather: I’ll only fight “all natural fighters”

Image: Mayweather: I'll only fight "all natural fighters"By Chris Williams: Unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. said in an interview at fighthype.com that he only fights “100% all pure and all natural fighters”. Mayweather will have random blood testing done for his next bout against Victor Ortiz on September 17th. Ortiz is on board for the testing and won’t fight Mayweather over the testing. Mayweather seems leery of facing Manny Pacquiao without the random blood testing, even though Pacquiao has never tested positive for performance enhancing drugs in the past.

Will Pacquiao look to fight Ortiz after Mayweather gets through with him?

By Chris Williams: If you look at some of Manny Pacquiao’s opponents in recent ears they’ve quite frequently been guys that had been recently beaten by Floyd Mayweather Jr. in fairly lopsided fights. Mayweather defeated the following fighters in the past four years: Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley. Pacquiao then fought all of them and beat them after Mayweather had already done a job on them. It’s almost as if Pacquiao doesn’t face these guys until Mayweather shows him it’s safe for him to do so by beating the stuffing out of them first.

Mayweather vs. Ortiz: Is Floyd ducking Pacquiao? – Pt 1

By Glenn Findley: When Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Victor Ortiz was heralded over the blistering radio; I exclaimed an exasperating sigh, whilst simultaneously shaking my head at the disorderous and shambolic chaos of boxing in the year 2011. Our generational super-fight has been hampered once again, by none other than the main perpetrator; Floyd Mayweather Jr. I’m truly exhausted.

What most people don’t realize about Floyd Mayweather Jr

By Babatis Banda: Floyd Mayweather Jr. as hated as he may be in some quarters, there is a lot more that people may really have missed about this gentleman. This may sound unbelievable, but he is as normal and as compassionate as most privileged people could be, not to mention his charity work to help, especially the homeless. Floyd has deliberately taken the villain role in the sport for a purpose and it has worked for him. Floyd has generated so much controversy and has also managed to hype his bouts that way.
