Martin Rogan picks Haye to obliterate Fury

haye323By Scott Gilfoid: Former victim of Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s), Martin Rogan, thinks former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) would be way too strong for Fury when that fight takes place, and he sees Haye stopping Fury without any problems.

Rogan said to the Belfast Newsletter, “I think Haye will destroy him. David will not be scared of Tyson and if I was Tyson I’d be wary of Haye…he can bang.”

There’s little question that Haye is going to deconstruct the 6’9” Fury when that fight takes place, as he has much better hand speed, much better power and much better skills.

Haye vs. Fury fight close to being done

haye#2By Scott Gilfoid: Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport is saying that the British heavyweight clash between David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) could be made by the end of June. Both fighters want this bout and Hearn, the promoter for Haye, is working on it.

It’s a big fight for the UK because Fury is kind of the last man standing in terms of the unbeaten British heavyweights. The heavily hyped David Price was recently drilled out in two rounds by 41-year-old Tony Thompson, leaving just Fury as the only unbeaten British heavyweight of note.

Fury says fight with David Haye is a 99% possibility

fury5333By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight contender Tyson Fury says he spoke with Adam Booth, the manager/trainer for David Haye, and he’s saying that he’s interested in matching Haye against Fury next. Fury says he wants to take this fight next.

Fury was interviewed by Channel 5 it’s “99 percent” a possibility to happen after his conversation with Booth.

In an interview with I Film London, Fury said “David Haye’s going to come out ducking and diving, and I’m going to knock him out like Steve Cunningham. Cruiserweights are easy for me. I’m blowing him out of the water.”

Haye & Fury both know the blueprint to beat each other

haye434By Boxing Muse: It appears the rivalry between David Haye and Tyson Fury is gathering momentum and will hopefully result in a contract being signed for what can be classed as one of the biggest fights in boxing.

Each camp should take confidence in the fact that there is a blueprint on how to beat each other. Even though Tyson is undefeated and Haye has only lost to Carl Thompson (in 2004) and the youngest Klitschko brother. It seems apparent that there are ‘keys to victory’ which seem obvious routes to take if one is to be victorious.

Fury: Bring on David Haye; I want Britain’s best heavyweight!

haye002By Scott Gilfoid: Having just narrowly escaped getting knocked out by 210 pound heavyweight Steve Cunningham in his last fight, British heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s) has decided not to fight a very tough unbeaten heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev next.

Fury wants former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) and he thinks he’s got the talent to beat him despite his dreadful performance against Cunningham in front of an American audience in New York last April.

Fury said to the dailystar.co.uk “Bring it on. David Haye is by far the best heavyweight in Britain so forget David Price…if I beat him I will be the best…I have no interest whatsoever in David Price.”

Hennessey wants Haye vs. Fury next

fury1By Scott Gilfoid: Mick Hennessey, the promoter for unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s), is hoping to put together a fight between Fury and former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) this year. Hennessey thinks it’ll be a big fight in the UK in terms of attracting interest from boxing fans.

He might be right about it being a big fight, but it’ll likely go badly for the 6’9” Fury with him getting knocked out and badly exposed. Heck, Fury was pretty much already exposed in his last fight against Steve Cunningham last April. That’s the fight that Fury was knocked down in the 2nd round and hurt in the 3rd by right hands from the smallish Cunningham.

Haye targeting Tyson Fury

fury444By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury’s poor performance in beating Steve Cunningham last Saturday night in New York seems to have changed former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye’s mind about not wanting to fight him. Haye’s manager/trainer Adam Booth says they want to set up a fight against the big 6’9” [or 6’7”] Fury in the Autumn after Haye takes a tune-up fight on June 29th at the Manchester Arena in the UK.

Booth said to thesun.co.uk “David [Haye] against Fury is the most natural heavyweight fight out there. It is the most logical high profile fight in Great Britain, if not the world, right now…it would be massive. I am waiting to make contact with Fury’s promoter.”

It doesn’t take a genius to see why Haye and Booth have had a change of heart about wanting to fight Fury. All you have to do is watch how vulnerable Fury looked against Cunningham to know that he’s an easy mark for someone like Haye to destroy.
