Martin Rogan picks Haye to obliterate Fury

haye323By Scott Gilfoid: Former victim of Tyson Fury (21-0, 15 KO’s), Martin Rogan, thinks former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) would be way too strong for Fury when that fight takes place, and he sees Haye stopping Fury without any problems.

Rogan said to the Belfast Newsletter, “I think Haye will destroy him. David will not be scared of Tyson and if I was Tyson I’d be wary of Haye…he can bang.”

There’s little question that Haye is going to deconstruct the 6’9” Fury when that fight takes place, as he has much better hand speed, much better power and much better skills. This one is going to be over real quick.

Fury is a good slapping heavyweight and capable of beating fringe contenders and 2nd tier fighters, but he doesn’t have the talent to beat a good heavyweight like Haye.

We saw how Steve Cunningham was able to give Fury a lot of problems last April when he dropped him with a big right hand. The thing about the Cunningham fight is he didn’t just drop Fury in the 2nd round; he also hurt him in the 3rd round when he nailed him with another big right hand that staggered Fury.

Haye would be able to do the same thing because he hits harder than Cunningham, and he would keep nailing Fury with big shots until he dropped.

Haye would get in close and nail Fury with big shots, and it would be like Haye’s win over Audley Harrison and John Ruiz when he was able to get in close and overpower them with big power punches.

Fury has done a good job of selling himself to the media by making bold predictions, but we’re about to see his talent, or lack thereof, exposed by time by Haye later this year when this fight is made.

Fury clearly doesn’t belong in the same ring with Haye, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this fight ends in a 1st round knockout for Haye.

I still can’t figure out how Fury beat Chisora because he shouldn’t have been able to. If Chisora had come into the fight in shape like he should have been, I think he would have knocked Fury out no problem.

The Chisora that fought Vitali Klitschko and Robert Helenius would easily beat Fury. It would super easy. It’s too bad Chisora has all those losses because it would be nice to see him and Fury face each other in a rematch.
