Froch vs. Johnson
Ward: Fans want to see me and Froch in the Super Six finals
By Scott Gilfoid: WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) believes that boxing fans as a whole prefer to see him and WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) in the finals of the Super Six tournament. Ward has already booked his ticket for the finals with a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision win over Arthur Abraham earlier this month on May 14th.
The State Of British Boxing
By Jay Ross: I have never written an article before or even really considered it too be honest, but after reading a few articles recently it seems that I share a different opinion on British fighters than some people. Obviously its very hard for a person to write from a neutral perspective as everyone has their favourites, but that is my aim in the article. Il’ll openly admit my favourite fighters are David Haye & Floyd Mayweather, where as I don’t like fighters who seem to promise it all and never really deliver like Amir Khan and James DeGale. But then again there with people who disagree with that statement.
Kessler thinks Froch will win the Super Six tournament
By Scott Gilfoid: Former super middleweight champion Mikkel Kessler is picking WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) to win the Super Six tournament in 2011. It’s an interesting pick for Kessler, because he already beat Froch by a 12 round decision last year. Kessler, in turn, was easily beaten by WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward by a lopsided 11th round technical decision in 2009.
Johnson’s team sees Froch as too slow to win on June 4th
By Scott Gilfoid: The trainer for Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s), Orlando Cuellar, sees WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) as a step down from Chad Dawson, the guy that Johnson fought twice and lost to in close 12 round decisions in 2008 and 2009. Johnson is now facing a much slower and less skilled fighter in Froch on June 4th in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Froch: I have the game plan to beat Johnson
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) is facing his worst nightmare in pressure fighter Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) next month in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For a fighter that struggled under the pressure from Mikkel Kessler in a losing effort a year ago, Johnson is like Kessler X 2. He’s much tougher than Kessler, as Johnson doesn’t let up for a second.
Froch wants Kessler and Pascal rematches
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) is dreaming of fighting rematches against Mikkel Kessler and Jean Pascal. It burns Froch that Kessler was able to beat him last year in the Super Six tournament and Froch wants to try and avenge that defeat.

Froch: Johnson is as old as my trainer
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) has really struggled in the majority of his Super Six tournament fights, winning two of them but looking terrible in two of the three fights. On June 4th, he faces pressure fighter Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) in a semifinal match-up to determine who will be the fighter that goes up against WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward in the finals of the Super Six tourney.
Froch-Johnson: The winner of the fight will be Ward’s next victim
By Scott Gilfoid: On June 4th, the next victim for WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) will finally be known when WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) faces 42-year-old Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
