By Jason Kim: WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) did a number on German based challenger Arthur Abraham (32-3, 26 KO’s) on Saturday night in a fairly one-sided 12 round decision win at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Abraham, 31, looked like he had training for a three round fight instead of a 12 rounder, as he had nothing left after the 3rd.

Froch not interested in Cleverly bout at this time, more focused on Johnson and Super Six
By William Mackay: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) pretty much put to rest any talk of him facing unbeaten World Boxing Organization (WBO) light heavyweight interim champion Nathan Cleverly (21-0, 10 KO’s) for the time being by pointing out that the 24-year-old Cleverly is still unproven at the world level and that he didn’t exactly shine in his last fight against Nadjib Mohammedi. Cleverly faces WBO light heavyweight champion Jurgen Braehmer on May 21st at the O2 Arena in London. This is going to be a tough fight for Cleverly, one where he’ll prove whether he belongs at the top or not.

By Scott Gilfoid: During last night’s welterweight clash between WBO champion Manny Pacquiao and challenger Shane Mosley, the Super Six tournament contestants sounded off with some good quotes about their upcoming Super Six tourney fights. WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch faces veteran Glen Johnson next month on June 4th, and next Saturday night WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward, the real talent in the tourney and the fighter expected to win the tourney, will be fighting Arthur Abraham on May 14th.

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch plans on changing his usual slugging style of fighting in his next semifinals Super Six tournament fight against Glen Johnson on June 4th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Froch usually goes right after his opponents and tries to quickly beat them down to get a knockout or at the very least gain control over the fight. At the Super Six level, Froch has hit a dry spell where he’s been unable to score knockouts and has found himself struggling in two of the three fights.

Froch figures that he should have long ago had his fights shown on Sky Sports and is only now getting a shot with them after years of toiling away in relative obscurity while fellow British champions Amir Khan and David Haye regularly had their fights shown on Sky.

Froch recently split with his old promoter Mick Hennessy and is looking for a replacement. Froch said that he had a favorable meeting with Hearn recently and was impressed. Froch’s next fight will be against 42-year-old Glen Johnson on June 4th in the Super Six tournament semifinals, which will be taking place in the United States at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Erdei vs. Mitchell on Froch-Johnson undercard on June 4th
By Scott Gilfoid: The only reasonably good fight on the undercard of the June 4th bout between WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch and Glen Johnson will be a light heavyweight match-up between former WBO light heavyweight champion Zsolt Erdei (32-0, 17 KO’s) and 37-year-old Byron Mitchell (28-7-1, 21 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It’s really not that interesting a fight, because Mitchell has lost six out of his last nine fights and hasn’t been looking good as of late.
