Froch: I’ll walk though Ward’s feather duster shots

Image: Froch: I'll walk though Ward's feather duster shotsBy Scott Gilfoid: I must confess I still haven’t seen last Saturday’s Super Six semifinal fight between WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (28-1, 20 KO’s) and Glen Johnson (51-15-2, 35 KO’s), but I have seen some tasty clips of it and seen enough to give my two cents on the bout. But before I do, it looks like Froch is already opening his trap about his Super Six finals bout against the heavy favorite American WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s.

Tumble weed rolls as Carl Froch comfortably beats Glen Johnson

Image: Tumble weed rolls as Carl Froch comfortably beats Glen JohnsonBy Mark Young: Apparently there was a fight on this weekend, not that you would have noticed by the post fight write ups! I managed to miss seeing the Carl Froch vs. Glen Johnson fight live and ended up bobbing around the Pacific on a fishing boat with a mobile phone glued to my ear while a friend gave me live commentary. After gutting and hauling home my catch I jumped on line to see other peoples takes on the fight and virtually nothing!

The most proven ‘current’ Champion in boxing – Carl Froch: Enjoy him whilst he’s here!

Image: The most proven ‘current’ Champion in boxing – Carl Froch: Enjoy him whilst he’s here!By Jon Neale: I have not published an article on Boxingnews24 for some months but I think someone needs to address the Fighter that is Carl Froch with a realistic approach and conclusion. For too long has this forum been a place of worthless ranting and biased diatribes relating to personal, national and yes, even racial preference. The sport/art of Boxing is something that should be respected and appreciated. Any man who has the courage to enter a ring to battle a fellow human being in any fighting technique or style should be given the respect they deserve. My preferred combative sport is Boxing, and I imagine it is yours as well if you are reading this article and visiting this site…

Ward hoping Froch beats Johnson tonight but has doubts whether he can do that

Image: Ward hoping Froch beats Johnson tonight but has doubts whether he can do thatBy William Mackay: Photo: Tom Casino/Showtime: WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s) will be working tonight’s Super Six tournament fight between WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch and Glen Johnson as part of Showtime’s television crew. Ward is hoping that the 33-year-old Froch can somehow beat the 42-year-old Johnson so that Ward can face Froch in the finals of the Super Six tournament and shut him up once and for all. Ward realizes that a fight against Froch would be the bigger fight compared to an all American clash against the U.S based Johnson.

Image: Haye: Froch can beat Johnson by a wide decision if he's focusedBy Dan Ambrose: WBA heavyweight champion David Haye, a good friend of WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s), believes that Froch can win an easy 12 round decision over Glen Johnson on Saturday night in their Super Six tournament fight. Image: Froch: I'm out to hurt Johnson on Saturday nightBy Scott Gilfoid: Photo: Tom Casino/Showtime: WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) is going to try his best at hurting 42-year-old challenger Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) on Saturday night in their important Super Six tourney fight to get a winner to meet up with finalist Andre Ward (24-0, 13 KO’s). Froch says he wants to inflict pain and he’s going to take pleasure in inflicting it. It seems that Froch is forgetting that Johnson is going to be attacking with his own shots, and we’ve seen in the past that Froch backs off when he’s under attack.
