By Scott Gilfoid: After having watched every single fight of Andre Dirrell, I know how he be beaten. I might be giving away my secrets by explaining how WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch can beat the talented Dirrell next Saturday night, but I seriously doubt that Froch would a good enough pupil to follow by near priceless advice, so I’m comfortable with explaining how Dirrell can be beaten to the uninformed boxing public.
Froch-Dirrell
Dirrell: “I’m going to punch holes in that gasbag [Froch]”
By Scott Gilfoid: In the latest presser from undefeated Andre Dirrell (18-0, 13 KO’s) today, he sent a searing line drive right down WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch’s throat, saying “I’m going to punch holes in that gasbag [Froch].” Oh boy, I wonder what old Froch is going to say about that. He’s probably going to blow a gasket when he reads what Dirrell is saying now.
Dirrell up against a slow [Froch] wide Bullseye
By Scott Gilfoid: Next weeks on Saturday night, WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch will be facing a fighter in Andre Dirrell who will wreck his world and ruin Froch’s perfect record in the first fight of the Super Six tournament in Nottingham, England. Froch might as well have a bull’s-eye painted to his head because he’s going to be so wide open for every punch that Dirrell throws. For a fighter like Froch, who is the poster boy for how not to fight, he’s going to be getting riddled to pieces by the lightning fast Dirrell. Froch basically will be going into the fight thinking he’s facing another one of his over-matched opponents that he’s fought during his career, but he’s going to be in for a rude surprise when he starts taking shots.
Super Six: Shaken and Stirred!
By Nikolaj Ovesen: October 17th this year seems to be quite a bit more significant than it has been for many years. Why? Because it’s the start of a tournament, where six top boxers will go toe to toe with each other. On October 17th and November 21st, these six fighters will try to prove they are the best of the bunch. In the end there’ll be 3 matches in this first round of the tournament. These three matches have been analyzed countless times, by journalists, analysts, and so called boxing experts. I’m of course talking about the matches between Froch/Dirrell, Abraham/Taylor and Kessler/Ward. I’m not here to give my analysis on these bouts but my prediction to how these fights will end is: Froch KO6, Taylor UD12 and Kessler KO11.
Froch will expose Dirrell to be another American hype job
By Joe Neale: On October 17th Carl Froch will get the chance to close a few more mouths about him being a credible world champion against overrated and untested Andre Dirrell at Nottingham. After the great comeback against Jermaine Taylor in the United States, a lot of people thought Froch was out-boxed. Taylor gassed out and Froch got lucky, but you can never judge a boxer by one fight. In my opinion Froch was poor against Taylor.
Dirrell = Skills Like a young Ali – Froch = Power like Liston
By Scott Gilfoid: The upcoming October 17th Super Six bout between World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch and challenger Andre Dirrell reminds me in a lot of ways of the first fight between Muhammad Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, and Sonny Liston. At the time the fight took place, Clay wasn’t given much chance by boxing establishment because they saw him as too young, inexperienced and not tough enough to last against the powerful Liston.
Look for Froch to Come Unglued if Dirrell Beats him
By Scott Gilfoid: I see World Boxing Council super middleweight champion Carl Froch as a fighter who’s really into routines. He probably does largely the same kind of workout daily, does a set amount of sit-ups and perhaps even combs his hair a certain amount of times. In getting beaten by Andre Dirrell on October 17th, I think this is going to really mess up Froch’s head and cause him to self destruct in many ways.
Carl Froch vs. Andre Dirrell: The Waiting’s Nearly Over
Doomsday approaching for Dirrell
By Steven Wain: Well, it’s just under 1 month (26 days to be precise) until, Carl “The Cobra” Froch (25-0-20 KO’s) takes on overrated American Andre “The Matrix” Dirrell (18-0-13 KO’s) in the first round of the super six world boxing tournament, Froch will also be defending his WBC super middleweight title, which he won in 2008 when he beat Jean Pascal by unanimous point’s victory. The fight will take place at the Trent FM Arena in Nottingham, England.
Why isn’t More Boxing Aired on British TV?
By Steven Wain: The following article is not a usual boxing article; this is my rant about boxing not being given enough coverage in Britain. In Britain very few boxing fights are actually aired on live TV compared to varies other countries.
