Image: Broner to show DeMarco that he doesn't belong as a belt holderBy Scott Gilfoid: Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) on the verge of forcefully stripping the title belt from WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) on Saturday night at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey. For DeMarco, it’s going to be likes he’s going back to the scene where he was batted around the ring by Edwin Valero.

Broner is going to put DeMarco right back where he was on that night two years ago by pounding him at will in front of what will likely be a huge nationwide crowd that will be tuning in on HBO to watch the talented Broner do his work. Broner has got the talent that most boxers can only dream of.

Broner vs. DeMarco & Mitchell vs. Banks on Saturday on HBO

Image: Broner vs. DeMarco & Mitchell vs. Banks on Saturday on HBOBy Scott Gilfoid: This Saturday night on HBO in an card packed with two good fights, unbeaten Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) will be looking to prove his worth against WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-1-1, 18 KO’s). Also on the card will be unbeaten heavyweight contender Seth Mitchell (25-0-1, 19 KO’s) will be fighting Johnathon Banks (28-1-1, 18 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Broner, 23, is the real story on this card because he’s on the verge of becoming a huge bankable pay per view star that could potentially rival the fading stars Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. Broner is pretty much the replacement for those guys and he could be the guy that be the biggest PPV attraction in the U.S in a very short period of time. There is perhaps one competitor and that’s WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez who could be an even bigger PPV star than Broner, but the jury is still out on Alvarez because his fights aren’t all that exiting due to his flat-footed, slow pace of fighting and his unassuming personality.

Broner vs. DeMarco this Saturday night in Atlantic City

Image: Broner vs. DeMarco this Saturday night in Atlantic CityBy Scott Gilfoid: This Saturday night Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) will get a real test on HBO against WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) in what could be a signal of whether the 23-year-old Broner can carry boxing for the next 10 years to take over for the aging warhorses that aren’t performing like they once did. Broner seems like the real deal, but he’s still untested really quality opposition.

He’s been fighting in a weak division at super featherweight and he really didn’t have anyone down there that could test how good he is. This is one of the reasons why Broner is moving up in weight to lightweight to take on DeMarco for his World Boxing Council title. If Broner can handle DeMarco without struggling badly, we could see him quickly moving up in weight to light welterweight to look for even bigger tests.

Broner vs. DeMarco: This is only the first step for Adrien

Image: Broner vs. DeMarco: This is only the first step for AdrienBy Scott Gilfoid: If former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) is giving an appearance that he’s looking past his November 17th fight against WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s), it’s because the 23-year-old Broner realizes what his own talent level is. He knows the skinny DeMarco isn’t in his league and will get battered and bruised on November 17th when they battle at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Broner has bigger things to fry than wasting his time worrying himself sick for a guy that’s clearly below him like DeMarco. There’s no worry because Broner has two eyes and he’s seen DeMarco get exposed and stopped by Edwin Valero, Broner has seen how much punishment that DeMarco took in beating Jorge Linares. DeMarco was like a punching bag in that fight, and had Linares had even a slight amount of power going for him he would have stopped DeMarco inside the distance instead of losing the fight himself.

Broner to prove that he’s on another level than DeMarco

Image: Broner to prove that he's on another level than DeMarcoBy Eric Thomas: Former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) exudes nothing but confidence as he heads into his November 17th fight against WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. While the 23-year-old Broner respects the 26-year-old DeMarco as a fighter, he doesn’t for a second see him as his equal inside the ring or even close to being his equal. He simply sees it as a mismatch.

Broner said to RingTV “It doesn’t matter what he [DeMarco] comes with. I’m just at another level. I don’t see this guy really doing too much.”

DeMarco a good test for Broner

Image: DeMarco a good test for BronerBy Sean McDaniel: In less than two weeks time unbeaten former WBO super featherweight champion Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) will be stepping up in weight to face his biggest test of his four-year pro career against WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

This fight will tell us where the 23-year-old Broner is in the talent department and whether he’ll be able to make the same kind of mark at lightweight that he did at super featherweight. At his old weight Broner had a size advantage against most if not all of his opposition. In moving up in weight to the 135 lb division, Broner may not be able to crush his opposition by weight alone like he’d been doing at super featherweight.

Broner-DeMarco still looking good for Atlantic City on November 17th

Image: Broner-DeMarco still looking good for Atlantic City on November 17thBy Sean McDaniel: Despite Atlantic City being badly damaged by the recent hurricane Sandy that hit the area it won’t have an affect on the scheduled November 17th fight between WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) and challenger Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s), according to RingTV.

Their HBO televised, Golden Boy Promotions promoted fight will still go ahead for the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA. The main negative that we may see from this, however, is that the turnout might be lower than what it would have been because many people in the surrounding area are still trying to put their lives back together following the huge hurricane.

Broner wants Ricky Burns after he takes care of DeMarco

Image: Broner wants Ricky Burns after he takes care of DeMarcoBy Scott Gilfoid: Before Adrien Broner (24-0, 20 KO’s) moves up in weight to light welterweight to look for bigger fights, he’s going to be looking to snatch WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns’ strap as soon as the 23-year-old Broner defeats WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) next month on November 17th at the Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Broner’s trainer Mike Stafford said to Bleacherreport.com “We’ll go to Ricky Burns and get that other title. He’ll [Adrien Broner] be too fast, too smart and he’s [Burns] not strong enough, these guys are too slow for Adrien.”

Broner’s trainer sees him taking over Mayweather’s spot as Boxing’s number #1 fighter

Image: Broner's trainer sees him taking over Mayweather's spot as Boxing's number #1 fighterBy Scott Gilfoid: Mike Stafford, the trainer for talented lightweight contender Adrien Broner (24-0, 21 KO’s), sees Broner as the soon to be replacement for Floyd Mayweather Jr. as boxing’s number #1 fighter. I think Stafford is right.

If Broner beats WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (28-2-1, 21 KO’s) on November 17th, Broner will have cemented the fact that he’s the best fighter at lightweight, and he then can move up and knock off a couple of big names at light welterweight and welterweight. I think Broner might be four good fights away from taking over top spot as the best fighter in boxing.
