Klitschko willing to fight Fury in UK if it makes business sense

wladimir400By Scott Gilfoid: New heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s trainer Peter Fury has been talking about wanting the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) to take place in the UK in 2016. It sounds good in theory, but it has to be something that Klitschko and his management are agreeable to.

Klitschko’s manager Bernd Boente is potentially open to the idea of the Klitschko-Fury rematch taking place in the UK if it makes sense as far as the money the fight can generate. However, if it doesn’t make sense business wise, then there’s going to likely be some resistance from Klitschko and Boente.

Fury-Klitschko rematch will happen without voluntary defense for Tyson

fury8233By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) won’t be taking a voluntary defense before his rematch against Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) in early 2016. It’s going to be a straight rematch in other words, and it could take place at the Giant 80,000 seat Wembley Stadium in London, England.

That’s where Fury’s trainer Peter Fury wants the fight to take place, and it’s doubtful that Wladimir will be able to stop the fight from taking place over there now that he’s just the challenger rather than the champion.

Wladimir says he’s “greater in defeat”

wladimir44By Scott Gilfoid: For what it’s worth, former IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) says he won’t be retiring after his listless 12 round unanimous decision loss to Britain’s Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) last Saturday night despite his dreadful performance. Wladimir says he’ll be using his rematch clause in his contract to get a second fight with Fury. One can only hope that the second fight will be better than the first.

Klitschko, 39, believes he can do better than he did in that fight, which is why he intends on fighting the younger 27-year-old Fury a second time. Wladimir thinks that the interest in a second fight against Fury will be high, and he’s probably right about that. A lot of boxing fans will tune in if for no other reason to see if Fury can retire Wladimir by beating a second time.

Deontay Wilder: I would have KO’d Klitschko

1-Screen Shot 2015-09-26 at 10.51.17 PMBy Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KOs) got a chance to see last Saturday’s fight between IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) and Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs), and he was anything but impressed with the lack of action in the fight.

Wilder says the fight was very, very boring to watch, and that the two fighters looked more like dancers than boxers in the ring. Wilder, 6’7”, says he would have knocked the 39-year-old Wladimir out if it had been him in the ring with him, because he would have thrown too many power punches for Wladimir to deal with. Wladimir wasn’t throwing anything in the fight and was just moving around and looking scared.

wladimir100By Scott Gilfoid: Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) is still in shock that he was beaten by Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) last Saturday night in Dusseldorf, Germany. Wladimir, 39, came into the fight with the British Fury expecting to either KO him or pound out a one-sided 12 round decision. Haye: Fury knows my style would murder his style

1-Haye Press ConferenceBy Scott Gilfoid: David Haye (26-2, 24 KOs) is really excited about Tyson Fury beating Wladimir Klitschko last Saturday night to win all of Klitschko’s titles. Haye says he wants to face Fury so that he can capture his IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles that he won off of the 39-year-old Klitschko.

Haye isn’t so excited about beating the stuffing out of Fury, but rather he’s more interested in beating him so that he can win all of the titles that he now has in his collection. Haye feels that he has the style to whip Fury when/if that fight ever takes place.

wilder(Photo credit: Lucas Noonan/Premier Boxing Champions) By Scott Gilfoid: The hard hitting WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (35-0, 34 KOs) says he’s ready to face IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) for all of his titles just as soon as Wilder gets through with his voluntary defense against a still to be determined opponent on January 16th at the beautiful Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Joshua targeting Tyson Fury

joshua567787By Scott Gilfoid: With Wladimir Klitschko now out of the way, Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) is licking his chops at the idea of fighting new IBF/IBO/WBA/WBA heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) to relieve him of his titles. There’s talk that Joshua worked Fury over in the past when the two of them had a sparring session together.

Sparring obviously doesn’t mean a whole heck of a lot in most cases, but if Joshua did work Fury over like the rumors say he did, then it might be a bad idea for Fury to take the fight with Joshua right now.

Fury was in fear of being drugged after fight

fury467By Tim Fletcher: Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) couldn’t relax after his in last Saturday night over Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) due to his fear of being drugged if he drank water. Fury felt that this was something that would potentially be done by Klitschko’s camp for some reason.

Fury beat Klitschko by a 12 round unanimous decision to take his IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles at the ESPRIT Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. With the victory intact, the 27-year-old Fury felt uneasy about drinking anything until he got back to his hotel room, according to Sky Sports. Fury believed that if he drank something, it would lead to him failing the drug test for the fight.

Fury stops the dominance of Klitschko brothers

wladimir4By Yannis Mihanos: For the last 10 years or so we have witnessed the absolute dominance in the heavyweight division by the Klitschko brothers. Their predictability in fighting has always been complimented by their natural physical advantage, an advantage so big that for all these years no one has found the way to answer. But last Saturday night in Dusseldorf, Germany at the ESPRIT stadium, Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) changed all that.

Because I have heard many times claims of winning by various opponents of Wladimir Klitschko (64-4,-53 KOs), I admit that while watching Fury’s interviews found him quite amusing. I wasn’t at all convinced that he can succeed where others have failed. I didn’t value him at all as threat.
