Adamek-Klitschko, Barker-Martinez, Brook-Jackiewicz, Froch-Ward all on Sky

By Sean McDaniel: Sky Sports has four very interesting bouts that they plan on showing between September and October with perhaps the biggest fight being the October 29th Super Six final between WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch vs. WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward. That’s going to be a real tasty fight with a lot of back and forth action.

Brook-Jackiewicz: Kell sees this as a tough test

Image: Brook-Jackiewicz: Kell sees this as a tough testBy Scott Gilfoid: Kell Brook (24-0, 16 KO’s) is continuing his painfully slow climb up to the top to an eventual title shot against somebody. The 25-year-old Brook has still yet to face a live body after seven long years of facing almost exclusively C level opposition.

Kell Brook could face Rafal Jackiewicz in October

Image: Kell Brook could face Rafal Jackiewicz in OctoberBy Scott Gilfoid: Number #2 WBO welterweight ranked contender Kell Brook (24-0, 16 KO’s) could be facing contender Rafal Jackiewicz (38-9-1, 19 KO’s) in his next fight in October. I guess this is supposed to be the big contender that Brook has been talking about. Jackiewicz is kind of up their in age at 34, and has a couple of decent wins on his resume against guys like Jan Zaveck and Delvin Rodriguez.

Kell Brook needs to start facing top tier opposition

By Scott Gilfoid: Recently, WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan mentioned unbeaten number #2 WBO ranked welterweight contender Kell Brook (24-0, 16 Ko’s) as someone he plans on fighting if he can get by IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah on July 23, and after Khan faces aging former champion Erik Morales in his fight after that. It sound good, right? Wrong!

Khan: If Brook is good he needs to be tested against a top 15 guy

Image: Khan: If Brook is good he needs to be tested against a top 15 guyBy Scott Gilfoid: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan rightfully pointed out on his twitter the other day that unbeaten welterweight Kell Brook (24-0, 16 KO’s) contender should step it up and face a top #15 contender in the welterweight division. Brook recently beat Lovemore N’dou by a 12 round unanimous decision last weekend. For those who don’t know, N’dou is about to turn 40 and has been getting beaten up on a regular basis as of late.

Brook/N’dou, Macklin/Sturm, Alexander/Matthysse

Image: Brook/N’dou, Macklin/Sturm, Alexander/MatthysseBy Simon Hirst: Some very good boxing was on offer last night to warm the tastebuds of next week’s fight of the year. Three interesting matches with different expectations for all of them. Brook’s test against N’dou was to see how good Brook was. Macklin had his first world title shot to see if he could mix it at world class level and Alexander was rebounding off his first loss against the dangerous, big punching Lucas Matthysse in what should test Alexander’s heart.

Brook-N’dou: Kell sparkles in front of home crowd Brook was dominant in Sheffield against N’dou

By Peter Wells: In front of his adoring fans the new Sheffield hero shone hope over Britain as a new star is ready to make himself known to the whole world. Kell Brook was pushed the full 12 for the first time in his life and he was on top from start till finish. Lovemore N’dou kept his reputation as the man who can’t be stopped after taking some big shots and was wobbled on a few occasions.

When Kell Brook beats N’dou tonight he must move on to higher levels, possibly against Malignaggi

Image: When Kell Brook beats N'dou tonight he must move on to higher levels, possibly against MalignaggiBy Dallan O’Donnell: When Kell Brook takes on Lovemore N’Dou tonight in Sheffield for the vacant WBA intercontinental welterweight title we will witness another step in the long journey to the top for Brook. After never facing any decent opposition, N’Dou will be the most decorated fighter to face Brook. With undoubted talent, fast hands and bags of power it has probably been the slowest rise of a boxer with this much potential.
