Dawson-Johnson II- My Prediction

dawson4463245336By Peter Wells: In another very interesting bout we see Glen Johnson (49-12-2) attempt to redeem himself against his latest conqueror ‘Bad’ Chad Dawson (28-0). Dawson came out on tops last time out via a very unconvincing decision. Dawson has since gone on to beat Antonio Tarver another 39 year old twice.

I don’t see the point of it. By the time that Dawson, 27, faces Johnson next month on November 7th, at the XL Center, in Hartford, Connecticut, Johnson will be almost 41-years-old.

Dawson-Johnson: Will Glen Have Better Luck This Time?

By Jim Dower: For many people who saw the Glen Johnson vs. Chad Dawson fight last year in April, they felt that the 40-year-old Johnson had done enough to win the 12-round decision over Dawson. It was a fight in which both Dawson and Johnson went toe-to-toe through much of the fight with Dawson landing the faster shots and nice combinations, but Johnson taking advantage of Dawson’s frequent lulls in activity by outworking Dawson during these dry spells.

Why Isn’t Roy Jones Jr. Trying to Fight Tarver or Johnson?

By Chris Williams: Okay, Roy Jones Jr. (54-5, 40 KO’s) looked good last Saturday night in beating up a shot Jeff Lacy and stopping him in the 10th round, but let’s not get carried away here. This was Lacy, who hasn’t been the same fighter he was back before losing to Joe Calzaghe and suffering a shoulder injury in his fight against Vitali Tsypko.
