Boxing: Attention Networks!
By Tim Wathen: With the heavyweight division looking more promising than in years where are the Networks? I hear all the boxing experts complaining that Boxing needs it’s heavyweights but it’s heavyweights need it’s experts to support them. I can think of 6 fighters right now that Showtime, HBO or even NBC sports could build an exciting super six tournament around and draw world attention by involving fighters from around the world.
David Price, a huge year ahead
Maloney: Audley Harrison could be next for David Price
By William Mackay: Frank Maloney, the promoter for unbeaten British heavyweight champion David Price (13-0, 11 KO’s), is looking at the possibility of matching the 6’8″ Price against 40-year-old Audley Harrison (28-5, 21 KO’s) next. Harrison, who just defeated little known Ali Adams by a 4th round TKO last Saturday, has already said that he wants to fight Price or Tyson Fury next.
Is Tyson Fury afraid of David Price?
Wladimir: Maybe David Price looks up to me, we could fight
By Scott Gilfoid: IBF/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko sees a lot of himself in the fighting style of undefeated British heavyweight champion David Price, and he thinks the two of them could meet up in the future if Price is willing to take that step. Of course, if Price waits too long he can pretty much forget it. Waiting until Wladimir is in a wheel chair won’t likely get him a fight.
Price still unproven; needs to face a quality opponent in his next fight
By Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated David Price (13-0, 11 KO’s) is getting a lot of praise right now for having beaten Sam Sexton last weekend by a 4th round TKO. I don’t see what the fuss is. Sexton didn’t even throw any punches and it was a really, really poor effort from a very rusty Sexton. Price had the victory handed to him by Sexton’s non effort.
Price: Fury is not on my agenda; he had his chance
By Scott Gilfoid: In a nice self defeating move, unbeaten British heavyweight champion David Price (13-0, 11 KO’s) says that undefeated former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury isn’t on his radar despite the fact that it would be a huge fight for him and it would go a long way to proving people wrong about him having a glass jaw.
