By Chris Williams: With the recent rumors about HBO sports possibly putting together a four-man light welterweight tournament involving Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, Marcos Maidana and Victor Ortiz, I think the tournament won’t have the same effect as Showtime’s Super Six tournament because there simply isn’t enough participants in the tourney to make it interesting.

Craig Watson: “I can beat Khan” – News
By Liam Santiago: Quality Manchester boxer, Craig Watson has expressed his feelings on his chances of victory if he was to fight Amir Khan. Watson has recently moved down a division to light welterweight and is eyeing a British title shot against Lenny Daws. Watson said, ”He’s a strong kid, but I am stronger and he wouldn’t be able to keep me off him’.” I agree with Watson. Anyone who has seen The Manchester man fight understands he is a top quality operator.
HBO Looking to put Together a Light Welterweight Tournament – News
By Lian Santiago: Sources from fighthype have announced that HBO are currently working on putting together a ‘super six’ type boxing tournament at light welterweight. The tournament would feature Victor Ortiz, Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander and Amir Khan. Although nothing is official, the rumor is that representatives of all fighters have been informed. Although a tournament at 140 pounds is a great idea, it could be so much greater than this.
Amir Khan hot stuff or just another protected Fighter?
By Joe Eccleston: With a Olympic silver medal, a win over Barrera and a world champion at just 22 years old it all sound good for the hot prospect from England. With fighters like Calzaghe retired and Hatton looking like his best years are behind him, it looks like the youngster is going to be the future of British boxing with Freddie Roach in his corner and having sparring session against Manny Pacquiao this will only help the young fighter develop.
When will Khan be brought back down to earth again
By Liam Santiago: After being knocked out in a matter of seconds against Breidis Prescott, I really thought that would do Khan a world of good and place his feet firmly back on the ground. But, no. He is still waffling on about achieving more than any other 22 year old, being a better champion than blah blah blah and even the ridiculous idea of beating Ricky Hatton. Is it any wonder the guy is not a fan favourite?
Khan: I’m a better champion than ‘Jeolous’ Carl Froch – News
By Liam Santiago: Amir Khan is still hitting back at his critic and fellow world champion Carl Froch, in an interview on radio five live. Khan said, ”I know for a fact I’m a better world champion than Froch. I always get dissed by Froch, that’s just jealousy I think. He hasn’t got the recognition I have got and the things I got. Where was he when he was 22? What I have done in this game, no 22 year old has done.”
Khan vs Salita: Will Khan ever step up his opposition?
By Dennis Broadhurst:After looking at some videos of Salita in action, I wonder if Khan will ever step up his opposition. In the eyes of some boxing fans, the ones I mean who sit in their rocking chair with a few beers watching the boxing, this may look like a good fight because Salita is undefeated. Salita is not in the class of Khan, I see Salita as a -B class fighter and to say that he is a number one contender is shocking.
Froch has made Khan so upset he wants to leave Britain – news
By Liam Santiago: Amir Khan has stated that he is so upset by the bitterness from Carl Froch and hating fans that he might leave Britain to start a permanent life in America. Khan also blames John Murray for upsetting him. Khan believes Froch is jealous of the rich and flamboyant lifestyle Khan is lucky enough to live. Speaking the Daily Mail he said, ”You buy a nice car, live in a nice house and have a lot of money. That’s the reason Froch doesn’t like me.”
Amir Khan will be good not great
Khan: “After losing to Prescott I fear nothing and no man”
By Scott Gilfoid: WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan sounds fearless as he approaches his December 5th bout against number #1 challenger Dmitri Salita, saying “After losing to Prescott I fear nothing and no man,” according to The Sun. Did you see that? Khan fears no man. Oh, I think the light welterweight division is in trouble now.
