Demands for Mayweather and Pacquiao Revealed: Gloves, Testing, and Purse

mayweather46By Antonia Bufalino: I know, I know. Same old, same old, right?

I’m guilty of saturating this website with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao news, but please understand I am just as (cautiously) excited as everyone else. So, when I hear something new, I want to make sure everyone is updated.

With that said, more news surfaced on how a deal is close- very close.

Examiner, Yahoo Sports, and ESPN all released different reports from their individual sources who are in agreement with one thing: we are waiting on Mayweather.

An Analytical Study: Where Does Pacquiao Stand?

pac78676By Antonia Bufalino: Manny Pacquiao has lost his speed and power. His aggression is gone. His stamina is gone. He’s old. He’s a has-been. He’s only a shadow of what he used to be.

These are the words Manny Pacquiao has become accustomed to hearing since 2012. No doubt he hungers to prove these statements wrong. What does it take though? Does it take winning over a Top P4P, iron-chinned Timothy Bradley? Does it mean displaying his power against a technical boxer, Chris Algieri? Or, does it take beating Floyd Mayweather, to prove he is still here and very much alive?

Pacquiao Hopes to Sign Contract With Floyd Next Week

pac3222By Antonia Bufalino: Luckily for the fans, more optimism continues to slip out of the on-going Pacquiao/Mayweather negotiations. As of yesterday, Dan Raefel from ESPN tweeted to the public about the potentiality of the fight.

“Dont know if MP-FM makes but heard details 2day from some1 who knows (not Arum)exactly wassup that for 1st time makes me think legit chance.” via @danrafealespn

Considering Rafeal has never been a big believer of the fight ever happening, it is encouraging to see his position begin to change. His optimism for the fight seems to be the highest it has been, and that goes for Manny Pacquiao as well.

Both Pacquiao and Mayweather Camps Working Hard To Find Deal

floyd98By Antonio Bufalino: Yesterday, Manny Pacquiao was updated on the ongoing negotiations for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr, Per RingTV.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. has recently fallen under criticism after ESPN Dan Raefel said last Friday, “As far as I know it’s been one-way traffic on Manny’s side trying to make it. As I understand it, Les Moonves is in contact with the Mayweather camp and not getting anywhere.”

The Verbal Sparring Continues. This time, it’s a punch from Mayweather

floyd6002By Antonia Bufalino: Nothing is more entertaining than hearing the two best P4P fighters, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, go back and forth in trash-talk. Hearing them trade words is almost as entertaining as it would be to watch them trade punches, almost.

With the clamoring of a fight between the two seeming to reach an all-time high so has the verbal sparring. After Mayweather’s Showtime interview, Pacquiao was quick to respond per Sky Sports.

“He (Mayweather) has reached a dead end. He has nowhere to run but to fight me. I will try my best to make this a thrilling and entertaining fight. But I doubt if he’s gonna engage me in a slugfest. You all know his fighting style. Most of his previous fights, if not all, induced us to sleep.”
