Deontay Wilder: “Anthony Joshua has lost the respect of the heavyweight division”

The Day of Reckoning is upon us and fast approaching and we could be that much closer to seeing an Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder showdown next year.

Deontay Wilder continues to slam Anthony Joshua as he prepares to face Joseph Parker on the 23rd, live on DAZN PPV, and claims the former two-time Heavyweight Champ is beatable and nervous. Speaking to Instant Casino, Deontay Wilder said:

“At the press conference, I didn’t need to say much about Anthony Joshua. Everyone, especially Jarrell Miller, had already said plenty. Even though I’m not a fan of Miller, he hit the nail on the head about Joshua. With him saying that, there was no need for me to add anything. It felt like a bunch of guys were already targeting him. AJ seems to have lost the respect he once had. Now, with a few losses under his belt, everyone sees him as beatable and doesn’t hesitate to talk smack. That must be tough for him, going from widely respected to this. When I’m around him, I sense it.

But when it comes to me, Joshua seemed really nervous. They’re not sure how to handle me because they don’t know what I’m like in different scenarios. My calm demeanor at the press conference seemed to surprise him and many others. I do wish AJ the best, though. Our fight has been a long time in the making, and it’s what everyone’s been asking about. There have been setbacks like them not accepting the $50M offer or offering me low fees. But eventually, the truth comes out. Now, AJ needs to get past Wallin and I need to defeat Parker. If we both come out safe from these fights, the big showdown can start.”

If we both win, there’s nothing stopping our fight

“As of now, I don’t see anything preventing our fight with AJ. The only thing that might derail it is if either of us loses on December 23. But all the previous issues, like disagreements with his manager and promoter, don’t seem to be a problem anymore. Everyone seems on the same page. If we both win on December 23, everyone can look forward to an exciting 2024 with Wilder vs. Joshua.”

Otto Wallin has a real chance to disrupt our plans

“Otto Wallin definitely has a good chance to disrupt our plans. Anyone can turn the tide in a fight, depending on their determination and how hungry they are on the night. The same goes for Parker. Despite my power and skills, he stands as much of a chance as I do. I still have to perform and apply my training.”

The Saudis have everything set for a potential fight with AJ

“I’m all in for whatever the Saudis have lined up. I appreciate their organization. They’ve got the dates, locations, and even the payment sorted out. As a fighter, having a clear schedule like that is amazing. We rarely get such detailed arrangements.”
