The police are looking to arrest the 26-year-old Broner for an alleged felony assault and robbery, according to TMZ. The alleged incident took place two months ago on January 21 following a game of bowling.

It’s unclear if there were witnesses to this alleged assault and robbery.

Broner and he victim had reportedly been gambling over the games of bowling, and Broner had lost money. According to TMZ, Broner then allegedly assaulted he victim outside the bowling alley and took money out of his pocket after punching him in the face.

There’s no word about how this alleged incident will impact Broner’s upcoming fight a week from now on April 1 on Premier Boxing Champions against Ashley Theophane at the DC Armory in Washington, DC. It’ll be interesting to see if that fight still takes place or not.

Recently, a video emerged showing Broner throwing money outside of moving automobile, and also throwing money on the ground at Walmart.

This obviously isn’t good news for the Broner-Theophane card. They need positive publicity, and this is coming at wrong time for the card and for Broner.

Broner had recently proclaimed himself as the replacement for Floyd Mayweather Jr, who retired last September. However, Broner’s loss to Shawn Porter last year in June was a huge blow to his career. While Broner did come back to beat Khabib Allakhverdiev to win the vacant WBA light welterweight title last October, the win wasn’t a big deal because Broner was facing a badly flawed fighter. Broner didn’t look any better against Khabib Allakhverdiev than he had in his loss to Porter. The main difference was Broner was facing a weak opponent that he could beat.
