Chisora, of course, will need to get his boxing license before he can make the Povetkin fight. He’s currently appealing to the British Boxing Board of Control to get his license, which was recently revoked, back.

If Chisora doesn’t get his license back from the BBBofC, he could look elsewhere for licensing, such as in Russia.

Hrunov told RIA Novosti “We’re in talks, and I can say now that this fight could happen in the fall. The only problem is that Dereck doesn’t have a license.”

Chisora also could land a fight against Haye, who seems to be having second thoughts about fighting him after originally saying no to the idea. Obviously the money might be too good for Haye to turn down, and he’s got to like his chances of beating Chisora after seeing him lose to Tyson Fury, Robert Helenious and a one-armed Vitali Klitschko. Haye would have a huge speed advantage over Chisora and it could be enough to get the win. However, Haye would have to throw a lot more punches than he’s been throwing because he won’t beat Chisora averaging only 10 to 20 punches thrown per round. Haye would have to get his feet wet to win this fight.

Povetkin will likely do well against Chisora due to his nonstop punching attack. He’ll outwork Chisora by a considerable margin as long as he comes into the fight in shape and even if he comes in heavyweight like he did against Marco Huck, he’ll still likely outwork Chisora.

Povetkin has to get by 39-year-old former IBF/WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman in their fight in July. Rahman has been positioned as Povetkin’s mandatory challenger, so he’s got to be taken care of first before Povetkin can turn to Chisora. Hopefully, Haye doesn’t beat Povetkin to the Chisora fight.
