Fury, 23, recently gave up his British and Commonwealth heavyweight titles rather than face the dangerous and unbeaten knockout puncher David Price in a fight that all of the UK has been begging to see for some time.

Fury didn’t want to risk his high ranking #7 WBC and possibly blow a big money title shot against World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in 2012 or 2013. It was hoped that Fury would take on a quality world level heavyweight at least in his next fight, but it looks like he’s continuing to play it safe while he waits for a title shot against Vitali.

Fury looked good in beating Dereck Chisora to capture his British and Commonwealth titles last July. However, since winning that fight Fury has disappointed in taking on journeyman Nicolai Firtha and Nevan Pajkic. Firtha hurt Fury early with a big right hand but then Fury came back and stopped Firtha in the 5th round. In Fury’s next bout, he was dropped by Pajkic in the 2nd round by a right hand, but then he came back to score a stoppage in the 3rd.

Fury has excellent movement and range for a big heavyweight and reminds one of Wladimir Klitshko in that respect. However, he needs more work on his defense, his jab, and his power. Those are three big areas where Fury needs a lot of improvement.

Rogan hasn’t done much since defeating Matt Skelton and Audley Harrison in 2008 and 2009. Rogan suffered back to back losses to Sam Sexton in 2009. Since then, Rogan hasn’t taken any chances, beating Yavor Marinchev (5-20) and Werner Kreiskott in 2010. Rogan didn’t fight at all in 2011.
