Image: Mayweather and Pacquiao to go there separate ways, leaving fans disappointedBy Peter Wells: As you all know by now the March 13th super fight between unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr and P4P king Manny Pacquiao is off.

They couldn’t agree to the deal and both fighters leave their boxing fans extremely disappointed. Mayweather has Malignaggi in mind, while Pacquiao has Foreman as an option.

Bob Arum puts the blame on Mayweather, when it was his entire fault that they didn’t get the tests agreed to. For everyone’s information nobody walked away from this fight, it was Arum who called it off because they hadn’t agreed yet and that was the deadline.

Mayweather-Pacquiao will probably never happen in the future, I can’t see the future but I can sense that they won’t bother negotiating for another fight. Foreman won’t demand tests for Pacquiao but if he finds out in the years to come he was cheated then he can’t do much about it, except sue Manny. I’m not saying Manny’s on steroids but if that was the case then everyone who blamed Mayweather will have to apologize.

It’s a dull day for boxing and unfortunately we won’t get an exciting fight to replace it, Mayweather-Malignaggi and Pacquiao-Foreman won’t sell. I know Manny vs Yuri would be interesting to see if Manny can fight at 154lbs, but if he dominates what does that prove? He can beat an average world champion whom once again is the bigger fighter.

Mayweather vs Paulie would be as boring as these fights come and a win for Floyd wouldn’t do anything for his legacy, just add an extra victory and some more cash. Although nothing can compare to his $40 million pay-day he would have got for fighting Manny.
