Late in 2009, rumors exist that a potential fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. was set to happen on March 13, however due to some contract demands, the fight did not push thru. Instead Manny signed a fight with Joshua Clottey on the same fight date. Clottey, for some was virtually unknown. Many boxing fans did not know that Clottey exhibits one of the best defense and one of the toughest chin.

Examiner.com writer Michael Marley reports that the WBO president Franciso Valcartcel says that the WBO won’t be requiring Pacquiao or Clottey to take the random blood tests for their fights on March 13th.

Image: ESPN Poll: 76% of respondents won’t be watching Pacquiao-Clottey – NewsBy Sean McDaniel: If the ESPN poll is any guide in which the respondents were asked if they would watch the Pacquiao-Clottey bout shown at the Dallas Cowboy stadium, there could be a general disinterest in the upcoming March 13th bout between WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey at the Dallas Cowboy stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Of 37,000 respondents that have taken part in the poll, 76% of them have voted that they won’t be watching the Pacquiao-Clottey fight. Of course, this is a boxing site that hardcore fans go to more than casual ones.

If this turns out to be the case, it would be the first bout for Margarito in over a year since his 9th round stoppage loss to Shane Mosley in January 2009.
