Image: Froch: Johnson isn't going to win one roundBy Scott Gilfoid: Photo credit: Tom Casino/Showtime – WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) sounded like he was a little off his gourd at Wednesday’s press conference when talking about Saturday’s fight against 42-year-old Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s), who is primed to beat Froch and take away his WBC title in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Froch doubts Johnson can walk through his punches

Image: Froch doubts Johnson can walk through his punchesBy Scott Gilfoid: Former IBF light heavyweight champion Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) has made a career of walking down opponents, walking through their shots in order to get close enough to hammer them with his powerful looping shots to the head and powerful body punches. Johnson seems to never stop coming forward to land his hard punches, and the only fighters that have been able to beat him are ones with superb boxing skills like Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins and Antonio Tarver, to name a few. On June 4th, Johnson faces a slower fighter in WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Image: Froch doesn't plan on standing in front of Johnson on June 4thBy Scott Gilfoid: It’s hard to believe it but WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch (27-1, 20 KO’s) says he’s going to box 42-year-old slugger Glen Johnson (51-14-2, 35 KO’s) rather than slugging with him on June 4th in their Super Six tournament semifinals bout at the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. If anyone has ever taken the time to see Froch’s fights, they’ll immediately notice that Froch isn’t particularly light on his feet nor is he fast of hand.
