Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs) unified boxing’s glamour division with a split-decision victory over Danny Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) on Saturday, defending his WBA belt and picking up Garcia’s WBC crown on boxing’s biggest stage in primetime on CBS from Barclays Center, the home of BROOKLYN BOXING™.

The event, which was produced by SHOWTIME Sports® for the CBS Television Network, marked the highest-attended boxing event in Barclays Center history with 16,533 fans witnessing just the 10th unification in division history.

By Jim Dower: Undefeated #4 WBC, #8 WBA, #10 WBO junior middleweight contender Erickson Lubin (18-0, 13 KOs) obliterated and over-matched Jorge Cota (25-2, 22 KOs0 by a 4th round knockout on Saturday night on Showtime Championship Boxing via CBS at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 22-year-old Lubin knocked Cota down with a scorching left hand to the head. Lubin connected on 50 of 133 punches for a 38 percent connect percentage.

By Jeff Aranow: WBC welterweight champion Danny Garcia and WBA champion Keith “One Time’ Thurman both weighed in successfully on Friday for their fight this Saturday night on CBS, presented by Premier Boxing Champions. Garcia (33-0, 19 KOs) weighed in at 146.5 pounds, and looked in good shape as usual. Thurman (27-0, 22 KOs) weighed in at slightly more at 146.8 lbs.
