By Scott Gilfoid: In a nice little robbery, super middleweight Rocky Fielding (22-1, 12 KOs) won a highly controversial 12 round split decision win on Saturday night against Christopher Rebrasse (24-5-3, 6 KOs) at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England. The final judges’ scores were 114-113, 114-113 for Fielding, and 115-113 for Rebrasse.
I had Rebrasse winning 8 rounds to 4. Rebrasse dropped Fielding in the 2nd round with a beautiful left-right combination to the head. Moments before that, Rebrasse had hurt Fielding with two straight right hands to the head that sent him scurrying for the ropes where Rebrasse then flattened him.
By Scott Gilfoid: #3 WBC Callum Smith (17-0, 12 KOs) was badly exposed tonight in winning a very unimpressive 12 round unanimous decision win over Christopher Rebrasse (23-4-3, 6 KOs) on Friday night to capture the vacant WBC Silver super middleweight title at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, UK. Other than main event, the fight card was filled with mismatches as far as the eye could see. Promoter Eddie Hearn’s A-side fighters all won, but the match-making was just awful to the extreme. It wasn’t even sporting. I’m just wondering where Hearn found all these over-matched B-side fighters.

By Scott Gilfoid: A very tired looking George Groves (20-2, 15 Kos) struggled to defeat the light hitting EBU super middleweight champion Christopher Rebrasse (22-3-3, 6 KOs) on Saturday night by a 12 round unanimous decision at the Wembley Arena in London, UK. The final judges’ scores were 118-110, 118-110 and 117-111. Groves threw over 1000 punches

By Scott Gilfoid: Former two time world title challenger George Groves (19-2, 15 KOs) says he gained a ton of confidence from his sparring session with WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin last July.
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC super middleweight champion Anthony Dirrell (27-0-1, 22 KOs) feels that #4 WBC George Groves (19-2, 15 KOs) doesn’t deserve a shot at his WBC 168 pound title, even if he defeats little known #3 WBC Christopher Rebrasse (22-2-3, 6 KOs) this Saturday night in their WBC super middleweight title eliminator at the Wembley Arena in London, UK.
