Deontay Wilder says Tyson Fury is “unfit to perform”

WILDER SZPILKA-FIGHT NIGHT-01162016-1875

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (37-0, 36 KOs) doesn’t think too much of IBO/WBA/WBC champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) after learning of the British heavyweight pulling out of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko last Friday for the second time. Wilder, 6’7” says that Fury lacks discipline for the sport, and he sees the 28-year-old as a sad sight to behold.

In recent photos of Fury, he’s looking kind of thick around the midsection area. Even if Fury hadn’t pulled out of his scheduled October 29 rematch against the 40-year-old Wladimir, it would be awfully tough for him to carve that weight off of his frame to get slimmed down enough to be competitive against the 6’6” Ukrainian.

Hearn wants Joshua vs. Klitschko match

fury1000

By Scott Gilfoid: With heavyweight champion Tyson Fury pulling out of his scheduled October 29 rematch against Wladimir Klitschko, Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn is looking to slide into the picture and match his fighter IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua against the 40-year-old Wladimir.

Hearn says the 26-year-old Joshua is all for the fight against Klitschko, and he thinks that he fancies his chances of beating the aging Ukrainian boxing star. Goodness knows, Wladimir has looked absolutely dreadful in his last two fights against Fury last November and Bryant Jennings in April of 2015.

Tyson Fury medically unfit to fight Wladimir

fury67

By Scott Gilfoid: In an official statement from heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and his team has announced that he’s been declared “medically unfit” to fight next month against challenger Wladimir Klitschko in their scheduled fight on October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. As such, the Fury-Klitschko fight will NOT go ahead. The weird part of the statement from Team Fury is why they’re not revealing what’s wrong with him. Normally when a fighter is injured, they reveal what the problem is.

Fury’s injury is unknown still at this point. We should be hearing something soon hopefully. Team Fury says they will have further news to reveal to the boxing world soon about Fury’s condition.

Fury vs. Klitschko about to be called off again

fury7

By Scott Gilfoid: IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is reportedly injured again, and his scheduled rematch against Wladimir Klitschko is on the verge of being cancelled, according to news reports. It’s unclear what injury the 6’9” Fury has this time. Whatever it is, it must be bad enough for Fury to postpone. In recent photos of Fury this week, he looks to be very heavy around the middle. Fury’s midsection looks to have a lot of blubber there. With only five weeks to go before the rematch with Klitschko, it’s hard to imagine Fury being able to burn the lard off.

The fat is noticeable not only in the belly area of Fury, but also in the sides. It bulges outward. To take that kind of weight off in five weeks might be possible, but it would take a lot of hard work and Fury might be weaker for having taken off the weight. Another postponement would give Fury more time to take the blubber off unless he’s got another leg injury. From behind, the flab on Fury’s sides looks almost like a bullfrog. I don’t know how Fury could have gotten so heavy.

Tyson Fury fails to show at press conference for Klitschko rematch

fury1224

By Scott Gilfoid: Earlier today, unbeaten IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) was a no-show for his scheduled press conference with challenger Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 Kos) for their rematch next month on October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

According to Fury’s manager Mick Hennessey, he had car problems with a break down while stuck in traffic. The 40-year-old Wladimir wasn’t too bothered about Fury’s no-show at the press conference, because he feels that the 6’9” Fury will need to face him sooner or later.

Fury vs. Klitschko II rematch official for October 29

fury8912

By Scott Gilfoid: After a lot of negotiations, the rematch between IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) and 40-year-old Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 54 KOs) is now official for October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. The Fury-Klitschko fight will be shown on BoxNation in the UK. This fight will help clear up some of the curiosity over the previous fight, as there a many in the boxing world who feel that Wladimir would have won that fight if he had simply thrown punches.

It was the weirdest fight to watch, because Wladimir did little more than follow Fury around for 12 rounds with his right hand cocked but not being thrown. It looked like Wladimir was afraid to throw punches. I’m not sure if he’ll be unafraid in the rematch or not.

It would be bad news for Wladimir’s career if he loses again in the same manner. It would suggest to the boxing experts that the Ukrainian can no longer pull the trigger on his punches. That’s a sure sign of aging when you’ve got a fighter who can no longer let his hands go like they did years ago.

Fury vs. Klitschko II: Can Tyson win again?

fury8912

By Scott Gilfoid: We’ve seen IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) beat Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) on the Ukrainian fighter’s worst day of his career in their fight last November in Dusseldorf, Germany. Even on Wladimir’s worst night with him looking too scared to throw punches, he still came close to beating Fury. That kind of shows you how flawed Fury is.

Now the two heavyweights will be facing each other in a rematch on October 29 next month at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Wladimir is the one that can make the most improvements in this fight because he did next to nothing the last time they fought.

With Fury, we saw him tapped out as far as his potential goes. That was the very best Fury that you can ever hope to see, and even then, he still barely won the fight.

Jarrell Miller trashes Fury, Joshua and Wilder

Image: Jarrell Miller trashes Fury, Joshua and Wilder

By Patrick McHugh: Undefeated heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller (18-0-1, 16 KOs) did what he said he was going to do last night in stopping the capable Fred Kassi (18-6-1, 10 KOs) in the 3rd round on Showtime Boxing from the Rhinos Stadium in Rochester, NY. Miller, also known as “Big Bady”, trashed the top heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, letting Showtime audience know what he personally thinks of these three champions.

The 28-year-old Miller is just itching for the chance to challenge one of them, because he feels he’s got the talent to unseat them. It’s going to be exciting to see if Miller can do that because at this rate, he should be in range for a world title shot by 2017, possibly 2018 if the sanctioning bodies move him up slowly.

Tyson Fury says he has some big news to reveal

fury4

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) says he has some big news to reveal in the next few years, and boxing fans can only hope it’s about his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs). Fury already postponed the fight earlier this year when he suffered an ankle injury while training. The two heavyweights are supposed to be facing each other on October 29 at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. However, with the news that the 40-year-old Wladimir is talking about wanting to take the negotiations with Fury to court, it leaves you to question how well things are going between the two heavyweights.

As far Fury’s big news that he wants to reveal to the boxing world, I can only imagine it being one of two things: 1. Fury is retiring or 2. The negotiations issues with Wladimir have been ironed out and the fight is ready to take place on October 29.
