Tyson Fury can have B-sample tested for cocaine

fury098

By Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has allegedly tested positive for cocaine from his September 22nd test by Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) for his now aborted October 29 rematch against Wladimir Klitschko. According to Dan Rafael, Fury can have his B-sample tested for cocaine. That’s the good news.

If Fury comes out clean, then he at least has the cocaine issues out of the way, and he can then get his medical problems taken care of so he can get back inside the ring and fight Klitschko or whoever. I’m thinking the Klitschko fight probably won’t ever happen though.

News: Tyson Fury allegedly tests positive for cocaine!

fury4544

By Jim Dower: Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury has allegedly tested positive for the banned drug cocaine during his Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) conducted test on September 22 for his now cancelled rematch against Wladimir Klitschko. ESPN is reporting the news. Fury pulled out of his fight with the 40-year-old Wladimir a week ago.

The positive test could lead to Fury losing his WBA and WBO heavyweight titles. There is already fight discussions taking place between Klitschko and IBF heavyweight champion and Anthony Joshua and Klitschko for a match for one or both of Fury’s titles.

Hearn says Joshua-Klitschko not done yet

joshua854

By Scott Gilfoid: There’s been a great deal of discussion in the boxing world about a fight between IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko for November 26, but unfortunately that fight is far from being made. Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says the Joshua vs. Klitschko fight isn’t done yet.

It still remains to be seen who the 26-year-old Joshua will be fighting on that date at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK. Wladimir’s manager Bernd Boente says they’re waiting to hear from the World Boxing Organization about whether they’ll be stripping Tyson Fury of his WBO or WBA heavyweight titles following his recent pull out of his scheduled October 29 rematch against the 40-year-old Wladimir.

Without Fury, will the boredom kingdom strike back?

fury11111

By Gerardo Granados: I can’t find the reason of why there is so much hatred towards the reigning Heavyweight Champion of the World Tyson Fury. Major media had never tried so hard to destroy the image of a heavyweight champion in the past. There have been ex-convicts and others who ended in prison who held the heavyweight crown, but none of them had been so criticized like the Gypsy King.

Tyson Fury is neither a puppet nor boring, he speaks his mind and I agree with him on many things he has said. Now days we have to be tolerant to many things but if you don’t fully agree with an issue then you risk to be called names and to be tagged as intolerant. Tyson wasn’t born in a golden cradle; he fought his way up, just like most prize fighters he made sacrifices to achieve success. He deserves respect not only as the heavyweight Champion of the World but mostly as a human being.

Should Klitschko take a fight soon?

wladimir7

By Gav Duthie: Through no fault of his own Wladimir Klitschko has admitted that this is the most inactive he has ever been in his career. He has not fought since his 12 round unanimous decision loss to Tyson Fury last November with the Mancunian heavyweight pulling out of two scheduled rematches in July and October.

Fury is citing depression for the latest call off which suggests this fight wont happen in the foreseeable future. In the last few days heavyweight prospects Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz have both stated they would take Fury’s place and Anthony Joshua has been mentioned for November. Wlad is not getting any younger and the question is will we see him again before the year is out.

Tyson Fury given 10 days by WBO to show medical status

fury888

By Patrick McHugh: The World Boxing Organization has reportedly sent a letter to IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury to have his medical doctor explain to them about the status of his medical problems relating to him pulling out of his scheduled October 29 title defense against Wladimir Klitschko.

The WBO has given Fury 10 days to have the information relayed to him. Presumably, if the information isn’t received by the WBO or if they’re not satisfied with the information their given, they’ll strip the 28-year-old Fury of his WBO strap. It’s unclear what the WBA will be doing.

It wouldn’t be surprising if they choose the same route, as there is a potential big money fight between Klitschko and IBF belt holder Anthony Joshua available if the WBA or WBO sanction the fight once the titles have been stripped from Fury if he doesn’t vacate the belts.

Hearn expects Fury to be stripped of titles

fury7377

By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn thinks it’s only a matter of time before the IBO, WBA and WBO governing bodies step in to strip heavyweight champion Tyson Fury of his titles, as he’s got some life issues that he needs to take care before he can get back inside the ring. With Fury’s problems not being injury-related, there’s no way of knowing when he’ll be able to resume his boxing career, says Hearn.

The sanctioning bodies want to have their titles fought over, and they can’t do that with Fury sitting outside of the ring and not defending his belts. Fury beat Wladimir Klitschko by a 12 round unanimous decision 10 months ago, and he’s still not defended his titles.

Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) pulled out of training camp for his scheduled October 29 rematch against Wladimir at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Klitschko to move forward with career after Fury cancellation

wladimir9

By Scott Gilfoid: Wladimir Klitschko has been left high and dry by Britain’s Tyson Fury for the second time after the 6’9” Fury pulled out of their latest scheduled fight this past Friday. Fury needs to get his life together for a moment before he resumes his pro boxing career. Wladimir, 40, says he’s going to be moving forward with his career, and he could be fighting for one or more of Fury’s titles if the sanctioning bodies end up stripping him of his IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles.

That could be a positive or a negative for Wladimir. It would depend on who he winds up facing. There are some heavyweights that Wladimir would match up well against, but others like Luis Ortiz that he probably wouldn’t do well with if he winds up being the one he faces.

For Wladimir, it’s bad news that he can’t get a second crack at Fury, because with the way that he’s looked recently with him still not looking in great shape, it would have been a winnable fight for the Ukrainian fighter. I don’t know if Wladimir could beat a dialed in Fury, not at this point in his career. We might not ever know.

Fury is seeking help – says Peter Fury

fury83

By Allan Fox: Trainer Peter Fury says IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is getting help to treat him because he’s not happy with the way he’s been dumped on by the world since he beat Wladimir Klitschko last November. Peter says he expects Fury to return to the ring at some point in the future, and defeat whoever has the world title belts by the time he does come back.

Peter says that Fury was no focused some of the days when he was training camp. His mind was elsewhere, and he wasn’t 100% in the way he needed to be. Peter wants Fury to be totally focused because it’s no use for him if he’s not mentally into the sport due to the danger involved.

There will be a statement released this coming Tuesday on Fury’s condition, says Peter.

Peter Fury: Tyson will NOT be stripped of his belts

fury4

By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury will NOT be stripped of his IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight titles, according to his trainer Peter Fury, who says that a statement will be coming out “soon” to explain why his fighter pulled out of his scheduled October 29 fight against Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.

Peter says that the titles will be sorted out legally. If that’s the case, then the sanctioning bodies might not strip the 6’9” Fury like a lot of boxing fans think, hope and are expecting them to.

Peter Fury said this on his social media site:
