By Scott Gilfoid: We’ve seen IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) beat Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) on the Ukrainian fighter’s worst day of his career in their fight last November in Dusseldorf, Germany. Even on Wladimir’s worst night with him looking too scared to throw punches, he still came close to beating Fury. That kind of shows you how flawed Fury is.

Now the two heavyweights will be facing each other in a rematch on October 29 next month at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Wladimir is the one that can make the most improvements in this fight because he did next to nothing the last time they fought.

With Fury, we saw him tapped out as far as his potential goes. That was the very best Fury that you can ever hope to see, and even then, he still barely won the fight.

I’m not sure how Fury feels about the rematch. I get the impression that he wishes that he didn’t have to take this fight, because he knows he was at the top of his game last time and he still barely won the fight.

What I’m hoping is that Fury doesn’t have to be dragged into the ring kicking and screaming to fight Wladimir in this fight because it would be so bad if he makes a big scene. We don’t want Fury to be reluctant when he gets inside the ring because we’ve seen fighters that weren’t all there mentally for a fight going in.

They tend to get blasted to smithereens mighty quick. It would be better for Fury, and it would be better for the boxing fans and for Wladimir if he’s totally committed to the fight. At least if Fury has his mind right when he goes into the ring, he able to give it a good go before the bottom drops out on him. Who know? Fury might get lucky and knock Wladimir out if he can catch him with a counter shot.

It’s no secret that Wladimir’s accuracy has gone to pieces on him due to the aging process. All it takes is one missed punch for Wladimir and then Fury can counter him with a shot. I don’t think it matters that Fury doesn’t have much in the way of punching power.

I think he might be able to score a knockout anyway in this fight if he catches Wladimir with a shot that he’s not prepared to take. I mean, I still see Wladimir winning this fight on October 29, but he’s going to be vulnerable to Fury’s counter punching if he misses a lot of shots. II don’t think Wladimir has the accuracy not to miss, so it’s going to be interesting to see if he can take Fury’s best shots.

If Fury can’t improve over what we saw the last time they fought, then it’s going to be a long night for him when he gets inside the ring with the 6’6” Wladimir. I have a funny feeling that we’re going to see Fury knocked out in this fight for the first time.
