By Eric Thomas: In a bit of good news for Hatton and Pacquiao fans, it appears that Manny and his team are now willing to accept the 50-50 purse split with Ricky, and have pulled back from the 60-40 split that they had requested a day earlier. According to the LA Times, the contract should be signed by tomorrow for the fight. “Everybody is now calmed down,” promoter Bob Arum said.

As far as I can tell, that’s a great offer from Pacquiao and Hatton should consider himself lucky to get such a high amount from Manny. Mayweather Sr. had this to say to The Sun: “I believe Ricky can stop Pacquiao.” However, if Hatton is going to be doing this, he’s going to have to look a heck of a lot better than he did in his last three bouts against Mayweather Jr., Juan Lazcano and Paulie Malignaggi.
