Price vs. Skelton & Fury vs. Johnson fight predictions

Image: Price vs. Skelton & Fury vs. Johnson fight predictionsBy Scott Gilfoid: We’ve got a couple of British heavyweight bouts coming up on Friday and Saturday this starting with an utterly dreadful mismatch between unbeaten British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion David Price (14-0, 12 KO’s) against his 45-year-old opponent Matt Skelton (28-6, 23 KO’s) at the Aintree Equestrian Centre, Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom.

Price, 29, has every advantage under the sun in this fight, and it’s just so terribly sad that Price is still being matched up against opposition like this at his age. 29 isn’t young, and there seems to be a problem with his promoter not stepping him up against quality opposition.

Prediction: Fury will to lose to Johnson on Saturday

Image: Prediction: Fury will to lose to Johnson on SaturdayI don’t know about anyone else but, I think Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) will pose a a real threat for unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) on Saturday night at the Belfast arena in Northern Ireland. Although Fury has ran threw all of his opponents to date, he has yet to fight someone at real world level apart from (Derrick Chisora ) which in it’s self was questionable fight, Johnson has a great left hand and seems to have knockout power from what I have seen.

Even though I would not put Johnson at near the top of the heavyweight pile, I would not put Fury there either. Fury does not excite me as a fighter nor do I think he has what it takes to adopt a heavyweight world title.

Fury vs. Johnson on Saturday night

Image: Fury vs. Johnson on Saturday nightBy Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated #3 WBC, #8 WBO heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) faces his first real threat in his career this Saturday night in 33-year-old Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern, Ireland.

Fury, 24, has all kinds of career dreams of facing IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and beating him to capture all of his titles and becoming the top heavyweight in boxing. Well, Johnson is just one of many gatekeepers that can shut the 6’9″ Fury’s dreams down in their tracks on Saturday before he’s even gotten his big dream fight with Wladimir.

Johnson won’t prepare Fury for the Klitschkos

Image: Johnson won't prepare Fury for the KlitschkosBy Scott Gilfoid: Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) isn’t going to be helped one bit in his December 1st fight against Kevin Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) for a bout against one of the Klitschko brothers in 2013 or whenever Fury decides to man up and fight one of them. Fury and Johnson will be fighting at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

Johnson, 33, doesn’t have the fire power to prepare Fury for one of the Klitschko brothers, and Fury is kidding himself if he thinks this fight will get him ready for a fight of that magnitude. Heck, I don’t see Johnson as capable of preparing Fury even for a fight against Kubrat Pulev, a fighter who I consider a lot better than Fury. That’s who Fury should be fighting now, not Johnson.

Johnson expects to give Fury a beating on December 1st

Image: Johnson expects to give Fury a beating on December 1stBy Sean McDaniel Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) likes his chances against the 24-year-old unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) on December 1st at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. Johnson, 33, sees Fury an inexperienced fighter with plenty of holes in his game that he can exploit with his power and his hard jabs. Johnson sees himself beating Fury so badly that he ends up retiring from the sport.

Johnson said to Fightnews.com “I have the tools to beat Fury, no doubt. I’ll beat Fury so bad he’ll want to retire…Fury’s not in my class.”

Fury vs. Johnson on December 1st in Belfast

Image: Fury vs. Johnson on December 1st in BelfastBy Steven Ocallaghan: After the pointless heavyweight title defences from the brothers Klitschko, it’s good to see an up and comer facing a decent and capable fighter heavyweight Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) is taking on former world title challenger Kevin “Kingpin” Johnson (28-2-1, 13 KO’s) on December the first in Belfast, which with a win should put him in the frame for a title shot by next summer.

After four consecutive stoppages the 6’9″ Fury is taking on a tough fighter in Johnson. It’s good to see two decent fighters face off considering all the hype surrounding unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s).

Tyson Fury: Kingpin strikes a deal

Image: Tyson Fury: Kingpin strikes a dealBy Jack Tarpey: Promoter Mick Hennessy has somehow pulled another rabbit out of the hat for unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury’s next fight, after the colossal disappointment of Denis Boystov pulling out of their scheduled December contest, things were certainly looking bleak for Fury with under a month to go and no opponent named.

Thankfully earlier today the announcement was made that team Fury has bagged Kevin Kingpin Johnson for their next battle, Kingpin managed to take WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko the full 12 rounds back in 2009 and on paper is certainly Tyson’s toughest test so far. What makes this more interesting is not only are both fighters big men but both also like to talk big as well, so no doubt the build to this event should provide a few laughs and hopefully plenty of action.
