Michael Jennings wants a rematch with Kell Brook

By Sean McDaniel: Former British welterweight champion Michael Jennings (36-3, 17 KO’s) wants a rematch with undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook (23-0, 16 KO’s) after being trounced by Brook in a one-sided 5th round TKO on September 11th. Jennings, 33, was never even remotely competitive in the fight, as he looked as timid as he had in his 5th round blowout loss against Miguel Cotto a year earlier in February 2009.

Khan would have problems with Kell Brook

Image: Khan would have problems with Kell BrookBy William Mackay: Perhaps it’s for the best that WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (24-1, 17 KO’s) doesn’t fight unbeaten top welterweight and fellow Brit Kell Brook (23-0, 16 KO’s). It isn’t about Brook being bigger than Khan or anything like that, because Brook is actually shorter than Khan at 5’9″ compared to the 5’10” Khan. And it isn’t because Brook is bigger than Khan in terms of weight or frame, because only a mere seven pounds separates the light welterweight division where Khan fights and the welterweight division where Brook fights.

Brook sees himself stopping Kotey in four

By Sean McDaniel: Number #1 ranked World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight contender Kell Brook (22-0, 15 KO’s) doesn’t see himself having any problems beating replacement opponent Philip Kotey (21-5-2, 15 KO’s) of Ghana on Saturday night at the Echo Arena, Liverpool, England. Brook, 24, is hoping to get a crack at the WBO title in the near future and could possibly be facing someone like Mike Jones in 2011. But in the meantime, Brook has what appears to be an easy fight against the little known known 28-year-old Kotey on Saturday.
