Image: Kell Brook vs. Philip Kotey: When will we see Kell take on top class opposition?By Dallan o’ Donnell: Kell Brook (22-0, 15 KO’s) takes on Philip Kotey on Saturday for the WBO intercontinental title as part of a huge bill In Liverpool’s Echo Arena. . I can’t see this going past the fifth round if Kell brings his A- game on Saturday night.

Brook has hand speed and the power to end things early but it does all depend on which Kell Brook turns up. Brook has the potential to be a future world champion but it is now time for Frank Warren to start matching him with top European and world level opponents which are not hard to find in a welterweight division that is currently buzzing. He is still undefeated but largely unchallenged and at least 16 of those wins on his record came against journey men looking for a pay day rather than a shot at a title.

I think Brook would fight to his full potential if a tougher range of opponents were put in front of him. Hopefully Brook looks upon Kotey as a former world title challenger and not a stepping stone and we may see a superb performance from Brook. He cannot over look Kotey who is a decent fighter with a good record. If brook does win i hope to see a big 2011 for him. It’s up to Warren to get him his chances and hopefully fast track him to world level where we can see him shine. Although Kotey is experienced and a decent fighter i cannot see anything but a Brook victory inside the distance perhaps even within 5 rounds.
